I am a swift strike buckler looking to purchase a gunslinger to use while in the clockworks.

Any recommendations?

Should probably get one with some vents and maybe a toupee.

even the junk threads

Even Fehzor's junk threads are better than most threads out there.

I was thinking about that, but it'd cost a lot to upgrade a 3* gunslinger with a costume consisting of vents and a toupee, even if the costume was just hallow stuff. Another thing is that the knights with accessories don't usually make as many new weapons/armor pieces as the ones without... unless I got a pay to play one, but those cost a fortune on Auction House.

And thank you Bapp.

Have you considered a swordswinger?

Make sure they aren't already wearing a full Vog set.

I have considered a swordswinger, but all they use are charge attacks from their brandishes most of the time, and it just doesn't fit my playstyle- "fast attacks with melee weapons"- like gunslingers do. I could maybe consider a hybrid player to purchase, but they'd have to avoid being a bomber (which are like sword swingers but fit my playstyle even less)... and if they're already that open they're probably going to go to try out being a bomber at some point.

Buy the Level 5*

Buy the Level 5* Shadow-Elemental Gunslinger - he's the best IMO. He has an Obsidian Carbine, Umbra Driver, Argent Peacemaker and Nova Driver all from the start. He's pretty expensive though, and comes with predetermined Nameless gear, so be careful to make sure you want him before you get him. If you need, you can get the 3* Pierce Gunslinger; he has Needle Shot and Magnus, so he's pretty immobile but he can be pretty good backup when you need it. He has the basic gunslinger gear so you can customize it as it upgrades to whatever you want, same with his Magnus.

I'd recommend trying a Dutch Oven.

No no no no no no no no don't say that or they'll nerf me and the gunners will all starve a horrific death with no crowns to feed their families whilst living on the streets of Haven begging for food/get over it and continue on with their lives!

I don't think I understand this.

I'm a swordswinger and I don't charge unless the enemy is far away (which is almost never) or is a mecha knight (or a mender but that's besides the point). I always try to bomb rush them, and if that doesn't work, I shield-bump and try again. Rinse, repeat.
