Spiral Knights is currently in the last position on the Steam top 100 games by player count. I think this is the lowest I have ever seen it...

Thanks,

Ridiculously small company, comparatively small game, even smaller playerbase. Kind of makes sense, no?

Just what do you hope to accomplish by this thread, anyways?

That's just the steam users

And it's only 11am PST, so many users are working or learning.

Yup.

Not to mention that. The MODs working are RIDICULOUSLY slow! I don't know how the hell they added EUROPE Server but,What about other parts of the world?! I'm still struggling to survive. Some people think outside of USA and EU are weak but ACTUALLY,they are trying to be as good as a users.

I am an Asian, living other side of the USA.

EDIT:And...I'm sorry to ADMINS.. :| I'm really EXTREMELY ANGRY that the numbers are could tell working on are SLOW...

As it's been said, OOO is a small company and this is a pretty small game, with a small playerbase. They may not be able to afford servers for other places (I know I'd love an Oceania server). As it is, I'm stuck with 400 or something ping, making Lockdown almost unplayable and the normal game very laggy; but I deal with it because I love this game.

Normal is 1300-1500

I normally see the Steam # of SK players currently online within the range of 1300-1500... which, for a small game is astonishing, considering how many games are on steam!

OOO: This game could be great for so many people. If the gunner update is as good as I hope it will be, the #'s could go way up. And if the price for energy was cut in half... that would do wonders for this game!! Read: 'micro-transactions that are actually micro' (I'd buy energy if it were $5 for 20,000!!). Also, some of the suggestions floating around are really good. But don't forget to cater to all skill levels... casual players don't want harder content (you did well with the difficulty settings, they are great! But please make the arcade more profitable in one way or another... or at least super fun!).

SK is #6 game most played on kong I believe. steam is not the whole world you know.

um...

I never said steam is the whole world, lol. But it is HUGE! My point is: there are 5.7+ million players on Steam... if OOO plays this right, they could snag a whole lot more players! One way to do it is to set an example in MMO games, and make "micro-transaction" actually micro. Plants Vs. Zombies adventures facebook game (and many other facebook games), is a prime example of what not to do. It would cost upwards of $300 dollars to get all the plants in that game... how many people will fork over that sort of money for 1 video game? If it were $5, or even $10 for all the plants, I would probably do it. But $15 for 1 plant... count me out.

We live in a world where games are "free"... until you read the fine print. That being said, SK does a pretty good job at keeping it free (thank you OOO). But why not reward the people that want to pay, by cutting them a break.

SK needs something like a grand re-release on Steam, and other portals! Bring some new players, bring back old players, make current players excited to play!

I've seen the guns...

... don't throw too much weight on this gunner update. This from a pure gunner, mind you

gone for good

Well, it looks like Spiral Knights is off the list for good... ok, perhaps it will show up on the list from time to time, but it won't be consistently on the list like it has been for the past year or so.

OOO, do something, before this game is lost to the archives... we all love this game, but it won't last long considering the current gaming trends. Give SK some gusto, and let's get some people playing Spiral Knights.
