I am a T3 Vanguard, so the party finder only alerts me of parties that are either in the arcade or are of rank 9-1 and up. Normally this would not be a problem, as most missions are only really plausible to be completed a single time. However, there are times when I want to do formerly completed bosses such as Jelly King or Roarmulus Twins. I am then forced to go back searching through the mission screen for these missions, and am only able to randomly join the first available party without choosing who I want to go with. I'm sure that many knights would like to choose which party that they attend to when adventuring into a boss stratum, as the party can decide whether or not the mission is a success. So I propose altering the Party Finder to also display any boss mission that has previously been completed by the knight, regardless of tier.
Have Party Finder also display parties of all bosses
The original intention of the party finder (as I suggested it in my novel thing like a year or two ago...) was to allow experienced knights to help fill in the gaps for earlier missions... this is because one of the largest complaints about the game was that we couldn't find anyone. Before the missions, we were all in the same boat together- the arcade. Missions took everyone and dumped them all into single player parties, with few people willing to wait over and over for one other person exactly at the same place as them to join... many new players don't get a good sense of the game because of this.
Really, it should show ALL parties for ALL missions below you, but search options could easily be "All T1 parties", "All T2 parties" and "All T3 parties". Another idea would be an option to "call for help!" which would alert all other knights looking to join a party of yours... this would have a time out of once per half hour, to avoid abuse. Much room for improvement to be had... I wish I could code it all onto the game, but no, I just sit here wasting away until I get a good enough excuse to off myself.
Well I didn't want the finder to display all parties at once because I felt that would be an overload of parties that are unnecessary to the player. Many of the old missions really have no business being repeated. However, as Hexzyle said, if we had party filters to sift through the options we want then that would be a lot more helpful. Like Fehzor said, it could filter though the tier of the party for arcade missions, or it could filter through the rank of a mission; i.e currently vanguards only see vanguard and champion missions, but you could choose to also see all defender elite missions, or knight missions. It would allow players of different skill levels to meet more often.
That's a very particular search you want.
We'd all benefit far more from search filters.
