First, make us so that we can add pictures to our posts. Like, not just links, actual pictures. Limit the picture posting to just 2 max pictures. If anyone posts inappropriate pictures, just ban them.

They should have all standard forum features and coding, and make it so we don't have to code it (give us buttons like a real forum gives us).

Don't see a point here.
Allowing images to be seen immediately is asking for seizure/ people to complain of horror pics from a malicious person/group.
I can see any image you desire me to with a click.
We are on a forum intended for the discussion of a particular game. Not a forum website based on speciuly colours tings and teen angst. If you desire the latter Here ya go.

I personally am not a fan of obnoxious quote pyramids and spammy "meme" images-- the forums are nice and tidy.. we don't have people making their avatars into genitalia, everything is kept relevant to Spiral Knights. No, what the forums really need is better community management... we have a few occasional and banal events and question-the-developer type things, but we the actual forumers don't have a way to contribute in any way. There are so many of us, and none of us make any difference, no matter how long we stay here trying.
I tried, and I was reprimanded for it.

Then why does EVERY established guild in this game have a forum with BBCode, buttons (minor coding still required), images on the site, colors, underlines, spoilers, etc? Even my own guild forum has that.
While no images may keep it tidy, visuals always enhance a writing piece - especially a long one. It'd be nice to be able to put a guild logo on the a guild thread, or to have visuals on a suggestion, because the links could lead to a malicious site.

Because Guild Forums are not the official forums.
80% of official forums for games which have a semi-decent sized player-base will have a severely limited forum functionality to reduce the amount of work the admins have to do regulating it with the barrage of thousands of players and the trolls that come with that.
Using HTML or BBCode is up to the web developer. Usually BBCode is used because it's a custom plugin for a forum specifically designed to be impossible to abuse. However, the way that the web developer has programmed this site is sufficient in preventing the HTML from being hacked into.

I know what we need. We need more profile pictures. I mean, like a LOT more. Or we can insert our own profile pictures for other people to use, but OOO staff has to approve.

I once suggested that OOO hold a community art contest themed around additional profile pictures. There would be categories based on "knight pictures", "monster pictures" and "other"- the winners, and there would conceivably be no limit to the number of winners, would have their artwork put onto the forums as official avatars.
The same could conceivably be done for new monsters and gear, by using a template for behavior/stats- all OOO would have to do is reach out and ask.
