The monsters could be able to get caught and make that monster yours like a poke'mon, that would be really cool, so if u had a powerful monster, then u will have powerful help!
EDIT: Battle sprites just help when u press a key but what if they made the monster/pokemon constantly attacking the enemy, the battle sprites have cooldowns but if u had a partner with u battling without u function him with a key, that would be great. The cooldown just makes thebattle sprites a (little weak if u ask me) but yeah, thats my opinion.

one main reason why most of forumers didnt liked the idea of having a pet its because people like you suggested to have a "monster battle for you" without the minimum effort making the game easier since you only have to let the monster do all the stuff for you, battle sprites need at least to use their button command and have cool downs to avoid to have a sprite spamming it skill to make it overpower.

problem is, it will mess up with your aim, it will be utterly useless or unneeded, cause we kill things perfectly well right now.

Don't expect everyone to immediately love your idea and be thrilled to have it. If someone here is being mean, try to learn from it. What in my post made them mad? How can I appeal to the larger audience next time? Unless they are just normal jerks of course. In which case ignore them and let the other more intelligent forumers deal with it.
As for your suggestion. Ok, now perhaps this wouldn't be a great idea. I feel that battle sprites are already enough. Especially considering that the Maskeraith has a skill that gives you 1 hit killing potential, the Seraphynx can make you downright invincible, and the Drakkon makes tight situations like compounds a breeze. If something like this is added in the future, for the love of energy do I hope they aren't too powerful. I guess if the monsters attacked constantly but at the cost of such low damage that it forces you to fight it could be a possibility.
Some seerius thinking would be required to make allied monsters balanced with your characters, but not as powerful as battle sprites. I already like the way NPC knights like Recon Rangers work. Absolutely pitiful damage output but can tank out practically everything. I will put it on record that I have gotten the 2 knights rescued in White Collar Captives to bring the end Trojan from max health to death before with out my help. I only sat there for about an hour. This should be the same case for the "pokemonsters" if this idea ever would happen to go through.
