Hey, I used to play this game maybe a year or two ago. I remember using the crystals you get from missions and depositing them into bins to change the gates and that crud, plus you got some crowns out of it. Everything in the game seems to still point to this being what it does, however I don't see the bins anymore and the wiki says the feature was removed. So what do they do now?

Ah. So basically, since I have a Drakon, I should just get red crystals then because that's what's used to make the food. That's nifty. Thanks for the quick reply!

arcade still being revised
The Arcade is still being revised. We've gone through the first part of the revision: getting rid of the mineral deposits, which were unbalanced after the sprite update. We haven't gone through the second part, which may make minerals relevant again, as far as I know.
While we wait for that to happen (if ever), the optimal strategy is: Grab the largest red, yellow, or purple mineral that you can --- no matter what kind of sprite you have. If you do this systematically, then you will end up with lots of minerals for making sprite food. The food might not be what you want, but other players will want the food, and you can trade with them.

Minerals
My friend in my guild told me that minerals are used for feeding your battle sprite in the arcade or something.
They are now used to feed/level up your sprite. You go to the lab and craft food for the little bugger. The gate deposit is now gone.
