My idea is to have events that promote the use of the auction house. These events would have special costumes and items that can only be acquired from the auction house in the form of featured auctions, either buy only or bid only. I would work similar to current events, but with the auction house instead of the supply depot. Doing this would entice players to spend crowns instead of CE, and thus they would sell CE more often and lower the price of 100 CE.

What these events would actually sell, I am not sure. But OOO is good at making random events with exclusive items, so I'm sure they can come up with something.

Featured Auctions is already a thing. Except right now it's just Featured player Auctions, with the exception of the Trojan and Puppy Disguises which are always there.

Using the Featured Auctions in a similar fashion to the Supply Depot sales would be good though. If it brings some variety in our lives.

Yea, i know featured auctions are a thing already. It's where i got this idea from. And it would bring variety, as long as the things sold are event exclusive.

Things such as the scissor blades show up occasionally for a hefty price, and the rose regalia costumes make an appearance every so often(even though they aren't exactly auction house exclusive).
I like the idea though. Introducing a crown sink would be great, especially with all the energy sinks we've been having lately inflating the market. Either that, or have various rarities go on sale once a month (Like the flawed orbs have done every so often). Special, auction-based costumes or accessories would be great! Maybe even bring back the stranger hats in the featured auctions.

...Yeah, pretty much agree with Fehzor. I don't really care if its a designated event or if it's just more featured auctions with rare items, as long as the auction house is used to entice players to use crowns instead of energy. The end goal is just to control the energy market. But it would be more effective if they added a lot of auctions at once, the bigger the bait the more fish you will catch (I'm not a fisherman so don't correct my analogy if I'm wrong).
