Download Problems

I downloaded spiral knights but the install program failed and I get a message "we were unable to download the necessary files after 5 attempts. You can try running the application again , but if it fails you may need to uninstall and reinstall"
I have tried running the apllication again and uninstalling but get the same error.

Still No luck
This is what I have done so far:
1. Tried to run the game from the launcher in Opera. Nothing happened in the final stage (I now think the web lancher is not compatible with Opera)
2. Clicked on the link to download the game, on downloading I got as far as 34% through downloading data where it failed. On retry is stopped virtually immediately (1 or 2%)
3. Uninstalled an reinstalled and again went back to 34% of download data.
4. Made initial post
5. Checked system as instructed everything is up to date though I only had java.exe as an exception to my firewall so added javaw.
6. Tried launching from internet explorer and got to 34% through download data where it failed again
7. Again tried downloaded version with same results.
I have windows XP on a 3GHz machine with 1GB Ram and a 128MB embedded graphics card.

Did you check that you do
Did you check that you do have the access rights to install applications?
Check that you do have the hard drive space.
Try and include any .log files from your Spiral Knights directory, it will likely be in \Program Files\Three Rings Design\Spiral Knights\

Download problems
I have administator access rights and over 250GB of hard disk space.

Or if that is what you're doing already, then try and download the client instead from here:
http://download.threerings.net/spiral/client/spiral-install.exe
Otherwise it may be a matter of access rights to install, you'll want to check that with those who administrate the computer.
