Don't you think Cautery Sword is a trap for noobies?I think so.

Here is my idea ; tweak it a little.First one will be the original,and second one will be my idea.

Cautery Sword 3★ (Heat LVL 1)

Pure Normal Damage
3 normal attacks,last 2 moving you foward.
Charge attack makes you swing your sword once,followed by 3 explosions.
Damage vs. Slime : Very High
Althrough with that UV,it is weaker than Nightblade (Heat LVL 1).

Cautery Sword 3★ (Heat LVL 1)

Pure Shadow Damage
3 normal attacks,last 2 moving you foward.
Charge attack makes you swing your sword once,followed by 3 explosions.
Damage vs. Slime : Very High
Does more damage than Nightblade (Heat LVL 1) and less than Nightblade (Heat LVL 5)
(Optional) Darker color,
(Optional) Slime icon on the hilt
(Optional) Explosions look like Ionized Salt Bomb explosions ; salt-like white

This is a nice idea~ +1
No one uses Cautery sword anymore due to nightblade doing more dmg to slimys.

Whether it was stronger or not, no one should be using Cautery sword anyway; its only 3*. You'd have to make a whole line out of it for it to be worthwhile.

I've seen new players with a Cautery sword thinking it would go beyond 3*, and regretted it afterwards.

I only have one to complete my Brandish set.

Though the thing is, what can we do to make the Cautery Sword worthwhile? Another status effect? Bleh. Another damage type? BLUH. A healing weapon? BLUUUUH.

My point exactly. Cautery sword is just one of those things that can't really be improved on. Best to use our time wisely and make new weapons instead, or actually balance the ones that are already used instead of this sword that no one would use anyway.
