Also, the winter theme is so cozy and cute. Last year, they gave all monsters little winter hats. Even vana got a tiny wintervana hat it was so freaking adorable. Winterfest, marry me o.o

Winterfest 2011 was nothing special. I made a ton of money and Krogmo's off of the millions of 1time-login Steam nooblets who bombarded Tier 1 Lockdown with 'how do I throw snowball' but that's it. The santy hats were also incredibly disappointing, being only a limited time thing. I kind of wished they included permanent versions, as with the Halloween masks.
Winterfest 2012 was garbage in my opinion. The option to get prizes via Lockdown was still there, sure. And the Frosty Prize boxes were cool. But the Winterfest mission turned me off so much from doing anything. It was like trudging through molasses while being pelted by chunks of ice just to get a few puny tokens that wasn't really worth the repetitive effort.
Winterfest 2013 is hopefully going to be better. My lips are sealed on what I've found via Preview Server, but I can say it has potential to improve over last years.
Overall, I like the music and the change of scenery, and the general mood of the time. 'tis the season, after all!

Winterfest!
I just love the music. I uh tampered with the game files while doing some other stuff with Kongregate and standalone clients and copied the Christmas music.
And, like Bitsbee said, to trade my Hallow loot for my Winterfest loot. On a mission to collect a Hallow/Frosty set of Crescent Helms, Flak Jackets, Crests, and Wings.

The cold wintry atmosphere is cool. Then there is Impostoclause! I wish I could fight it...... But then, I wear my Hallow stuff all the time, so I'm a rebel.

The winter Haven theme and the snowballs. Oh, and let's not forget the smexy hats that the monsters wore. Anyone remember the Roarmulus Twins' hats?
Also, my memories of winterfest...
Winterfest 2011: Explorer Packs has just been introduced for $2.50 each. I had friends who bought so many that their elevator pass lasted until 2013. The CE price dropped to around 5700 at one point.
Winterfest 2012: Dat Humbug. I went on Humbug headhunts and got rich off those hats. I did grind the missions normally though for the scarves and for boxes. I just loved how easy it was to get a box. I remember it only took like one run per box. It was so easy to make a full Frosty set.

I joined last year around Dark Harvest, so I was only maybe a knight at Winterfest. I never really got anything good, but this year, I plan to get more outfits, to match my cake hat :3
