Improved pvp for a more meaningful game experience

Hello everyone, I would like to improve spiral knights as a member of its community if possible.

I've played spiral knights for a very long time. To me, playing the game consists of two main points: Going into the clockworks with the intent of making money and playing Lockdown for competitive fun. It goes without saying that any given game may become boring if played for a certain amount of time, however Spiral Knights seems to burn out too early.

Though there are many levels, I feel players will naturally do missions that get them the most money as they provide the most reward for their time. Doing the same thing periodically is rarely considered fun if the experience is unchanging. There are a slew of things I think we can all cough up about how to improve the clockworks however I would like to focus on pvp.

Remember when I said "Doing the same thing periodically is rarely considered fun if the experience is unchanging"? I hope you do, because welcome to Lockdown. With very little variation between levels and nobody playing blast network Lockdown becomes boring too fast. Krogmo Coins do provide rewards for playing, but it has never been enough incentive for me to enjoy pvp or its prizes.

So here is my proposition: to build a larger competitive community and thus greatly increase the incentive to continue playing Spiral Knights additional game modes and larger prizes based on skill should be implemented. I believe the new game modes should include a more dynamic pvp experience and the addition prizes of a certain value such that players want to play and attempt to improve in pvp.

SO-
Why not have the next big update be the fantastic "Long awaited PVP update!"?

Thank you for reading!

Please criticize my idea so it may improve!
If there are any game developers on the forum (I imagine there are), I love your game and want it to be the best it can be.

Your intentions are good but I'll just tell you straight up as to avoid disappointment.
OOO has never shown any signs of being interested in improving PvP.
Lots of people tried, with wonderful suggestions, but all of it was ignored.
Enjoy it, but don't hope too much.

This isn't exactly a new thought

Not a bad one either, but it has been said time and time again, and to no avail. This seems like a suggestion to me, unless you were hoping to spark a conversation about PvP somehow, and I'm just not getting it.

The reason Lockdown doesn't have more variation is because it is, essentially, run by the players. We decide how we want to play, and we share what works and what doesn't. Once the good strategies are tried many times over, they become a sort of standard. PvE changes on a clock, but PvP changes on a whim. The only way to get more variation in Lockdown matches is to organize the community, which would prove a nightmare for just about everyone.
In short, stuff's not changing anytime soon.

@Fangel

The problem with that is that the game is made so that certain things are actually the outright best. PvP does not change on a whim, because there is no metagame to change. There is one strategy, it is the best strategy, and people will continue to use it until something else is buffed to become equally as good or better.

OOO has no intention of caring about PVP before PVE

Want to know the biggest issue with the "competitive" Lockdown community? Stay classy.

OOO does not care about pvp

In fact, if you ask me, they look at pvp and think is has no problem, a lot of us disagree with it probably, but they dont agree with us, if you want ti to be changed ever, your best bet is to sign up for OOO, and even if they do see the problem, they wont do it until they think PVE is done, as whimsicality said.
