Is there a point? You could just press the keyboard shortcuts
Locking the HUD?
I've never locked it, but I'd imagine it's to prevent you from getting screwed when your cat gets on your keyboard likethichfjekdjckxudneksoqlspcmnanehdxijebrushdnfjrj & not have them open your Forge/Arsenal/Character Screen 50 times when you're playing.
If you're wondering why it needs to be locked, well....
So, I'm playing Lockdown, mashing keys while FF shield canceling. Whoops. Turns out I just clicked a chat button, or opened my mail, or my arsenal. Oh. Turns out I died. Darn.
^That's what happens when it's not locked.
I see. So don't set any keyboard shortcuts then? You have keys that toggle windows by default and can open stuff even with the HUD locked.
^+5 good sir,
Yes, HUD locking is pretty much just for LD. You can ask alot of LD players what happens if they forget to lock their HUD. You'll suddenly open Supply Depot, or Missions, or Forge, its extremely annoying.
I've never had issues accidentally opening any Shortcuts(mainly, because I don't have a cat) & I use Keyboard Shortcuts because I'm able to open them up more easier & faster.
That's just my opinion, though.
Oh Snap~, look who has decided to join the forum game~
Welcome to the Dark Side; I ate all your welcome cookies.
And.. Yeah basically locking is so then when you're in combat smashing random whatevers it's so then you won't open up your inventory, missions, ect on accident if you're trying to type to your teammates.
At one point, it used to be that you could drop your vitapod and all of your pills and vials etcetera. Locking the hud prevented you from losing 15 health mid-run.
But I use my mouse instead of keyboard so locking HUD is important for me at least.
I don't understand the point of HUD locking either...
Can someone explain?
