The Fashion Difficulty of Reskinned Costumes, and the Humor of Mount Krampus.

I've noticed that reskinned costumes such as Hunter, Hallow, and the new dark Polar colors are extremely difficult to match with any exisiting color schemes. It seems intentional on SK's part, although I can't think of a good reason why they would do that.

Then there's often some cool addition, too, like an aura or coat that looks pretty nice.

What's your favorite polar item so far? (Still waiting on a screenshot of a polar halo)

And, wow, those holiday scarves in the supply depot sure seem cheap at 750 energy. I picked up a red and white one, and it looks spiffy on my all frosty dragon outfit.

Lastly, making the Winterfest items able to be purchased with Krogmo coins was a great idea.

I have had a chance to explore Mt. Krampus (see below for inspiration for this name), but it sounds dreadfully hard and frustrating, even downright evil(?). Maybe they'll nerf it a bit for us.

Anyway, nice bit of educational name-choosing on Mount Krampus. I got a good laugh out of that.

For those of us who aren't familiar with this name and hadn't thought to check Wikipedia:

Krampus is a demonic or Satanic-looking creature from the Christmas legends of Alpine countries such as Germany, Hungary, and appropriately, The Netherlands - thus, Mount Krampus!

As folklore has it, Krampus punishes children during the Yule season who had misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards well-behaved ones with gifts. Krampus is said to capture particularly naughty children in his sack and carry them away to his lair. (Much as the Dragon Princess appreciates a good lair, she finds this to be a very disturbing holiday story to scare children with.)

I didn't make that connection

You've got me chuckling now too. It figures that such a race of gremlins would live there.

And to anyone who has played the mission, did the fact that there were ladders attached to the base of the mountain that you took an elevator up to seem silly? I thought it was silly.

Really the reskinned outfits wasn't necessary... also the new mission is insanely hard, I didn't enjoyed it at all (and the lag makes it worse).

I have to check these new outfits, my bet is that they gonna be preeetty expensive...

White and black are very

White and black are very neutral colors. This makes it easy for anyone to stick a few accessories on their most-used pieces of gear that are visually nice, like the wolver coats, jelly-base and fallen without having to strive too much for the proper color in accessories.

This is ultimately limiting but nice for those who don't or won't get the resources to make a full, unique outfit.

I suppose I should comment on the fashion bit too

The colors might go well with the battle chef gear, and even the obsidian costumes. Most armor sets probably won't fit them, but certain grayscale armors might. A hood of rituals on a twilight night coat (or whatever they're called) might turn out looking neat.

I do appreciate the Krogmo stuff. Since I had 800 coins to no use (got 1*, 3*, 5* pendants and all recipes), I grabbed the scarf I'd been waiting on for 10 months instantly. Now I can focus on making my toothpick reskin and completely ignore the other part of Winterfest, although I'll be tempted to try out the new map, I guess.

On the side

One of the knights at the base, Tenzhill I believe, is a reference to the first people to dominate Everest.
