Making the enemies in Grinchlin Assault drop nothing was a mistake

...because people are incentivized to stay dead until they have to revive, leaving their party members to fend for themselves.

The boxes alone don't pay enough for the trouble, mostly because of the event materials.

I'd like to suggest two big changes to the levels- all enemies drop event materials and heat, and the boxes only drop crowns.

This would help make the trinkets more common as well, since the abundance of event mats dilutes the drop tables.

People who are dead are incentivized to be kicked. Current day party leaders are too weak-hearted. In my day...

It's not a mission you do to earn crowns, that's what KoA is for.
Anyway, the urinated snowballs go for quite a bit on the Auction House. (500 a pop during the event, and they skyrocket afterwards)

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

take it as a prototype of survival mode. I see it that way. you do it for the rewards after the level, not the ones in the level itself. the level itself is a challenge (which you can take or not).

I know it's not supposed to be for crowns. Doesn't mean it CAN'T pay reasonably. I want to be able to play more than a couple level sets without "wasting time".

Yeah, you can kick people, but then you can't invite anyone because the party is locked. Then you're down a guy that could at least help kill the mender in the final fight.

I know it's a prototype, just like Apocrea was a free-roam prototype, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't point out what's going wrong.

If he's laying on the floor, all he's doing is increasing the health of mob spawns. Dead people help no-one.

Organized parties rule, PUGs drool.

While nothing would be wrong with a change...

I think that the drops are okay as it is now. Crowns payouts are always bad unless you're doing FSC or some SL, so can't expect much different. Plus, this is already a known issue when it comes to boss fights and floor two of other danger missions, you just generally have to come prepared with people you know you can trust.

I'd sure like to see the trinkets though, I wonder what they look like?

I still wished we could have the old revive system back... it promotes team spirit and survival within a team, rather than soloing...

Usually I can convince them to help me when I explain why we need the mender dead. I like having as many people in that fight as possible, because it's a lot different than being forced to kite longer. You HAVE to try to instagib the boss or you're eventually worn down by the no-safezone, spawn-attacking, armor-ignoring, insta-hitting enemies that constantly respawn, because that one Mender just HAS to exist.

I do try to get some guildies or friends, but I don't always have that option.

Payouts being bad in any place that isn't an arena, shadow lair, RJP, or FSC is not a good thing. They should stop that trend with at least this one level.

I've only seen the Silver variant, which gives +2 Freeze/+1 Fire/+1 HP. I'm assuming there's a gold variant that has swapped resistances. Combining the two likely adds their bonuses together, but I don't know for sure.
