How does Sudaruska/Triglav work with Chaos set?

I was thinking about getting Chaos set and use either/these swords with tha set but I'm worried about that the damage bonus isn't really that good.

I am currently using them with Barbarous Thorn Shield (sword damage increase Med).

So my questions are...
How much damage does Suda/Triglav deal with Sword Dmage Bonus MAX?
Do I even need MAX dmage or am I good with V.High?
Would Black Kat Cown be better with some other shield? (I would have S. Dmage Bonus Ultra, or whatever)

Damage bonus Max increases damage per hit by 24%, just like with every weapon. However, this is before defence is applied.

For a quick comparison, Lancer Knightz have wiki pages for depths 19 and <"http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Lancer_Knightz_(Guild)/Sword_Damage_(Depth_24)">24. I also have a spreadsheet with damage for every level of damage bonus with every weapon.

In practice, I think it's a good idea to have some damage bonus for your Troika, as it will keep up your interruption power and let you keep backflipping gremlins and staggering turrets and whatnot. Max helps, but you can make do with V. High. It depends on a number of factors, from depth to difficulty to party size to whether or not you're currently in a danger room to whether or not you think you even need interruption power or you just want make do with the knockback.

Troikas are very slow, and Swiftstrike Buckler would help a lot at making the sword easier to wield. You could do something like:
Chaos Cowl
Chaos Cloak
Swiftstrike Buckler
Damage sprite perk

Beause Sudas are excellent when charged, I would strongly recommend Chaos over Kat Cowl for wielding it.

Also as SudaSwords are massive damage in one hit, the 24% boost would be more helpful, adding more damage per hit. Of course it would raise the DPS as much as any other weapon, but suduswords aren't about dps and so I'd imagine that it would benefit you greatly due to the style of the swords.

Also it make you more likely to one hit everything with the charge, which is rather fun.

I'd recommend the pepperbox as secondary because who needs special damage anyway :D
against lumbers and battlepods it basically becomes and OHKObox so yeah that's fun as well

Suda-spamming with chaos is most certainly a good time. Go for it, but stop at khorovod- you're not special, like the people that got to craft their gear before the fire crystal drought.

@Fehzor

I already have both 5*... And Triglav as Frozen Great Cleaver. :3
Lucky me.

@Drachronos

Not really fan of Autoguns. I myself brefer either Stagger Storm or Deadly shard Bomb. Good weapon though, just not my type of weapon.

I will say the charge is amazing with the electron vortex line and Chaos set. (If you have a level 10 of the bomb with max CTR, it's the best there.) If you time the charge so that the the second hit of the Troika charge lands AFTER the bomb explodes, then you have a chance of the enemy knockback cancelled while they're in shock state, which leads to a perfect no-bomb setup for another charge since they're already packed together from the initial bomb's pull.

Agree with Seiran. Assuming Chaos + sword damage med from another source.. Vortex + Triglav charge = as many dead wolvers as get sucked into the bomb with like a 3 or less party. This is also imho the best combo for any of the compounds levels.

Great theory, but...

I've used Chaos + Suda, and frankly, it doesn't impress me. I'm a decent dodger, but Chaos is murder on people who have anything less than elite dodging skills. Combined with the Suda's slow swing speed (even with SSB) and lower damage than nearly any other comparable 2-swing weapon, you're just asking to get your butt kicked.

And in my experience, I get what I ask for all too often. :(

In short, Suda is fun to use when you're not getting shocked all the way to the elevator.
