Similar to prestige points, create a system to recognize and reward the amount of time spent ingame.

Were you around when people got random awards for just being online?

Servers were clogged with people who weren't playing.

And their alts.

It was unplayable.

my 2 cents

We already have hours and limited promotions items that can show how long you have played the game

Showing my Spiral Bombhead Mask obviously show that I've been here when Blast Network was implemented... in 2011

Any ideas on what system it would be? just points that ups by play time? in-game weapons? cr? ce? trinket? tokens? useless artefact?

I like the concept, I just don't want it to be another prestige point where it doesn't mean anything... and by playing the game a lot it doesn't mean you are any good, just that you are a old player...

(maybe like a crest accessory? that changes according to your time spent on the game with time Threshold (take into consideration that I have a friend with over 5,000 hours play time and I have over 2,000 hours, so a lot of milestones would already be done))

Very fragile. No game out there really does this. I can also afk in front of the auction house for hours, piling up my in-game time while doing some other productive stuff.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

would like more "how many levels you have played through", cause that means something more. but then merchants would come here and whine.

This would be a glorious but relatively dishonest way to raise the steam rating of our game, which is biased towards players existing in game via steam.
