Hey guys! So I've had my eyes set on the Mad Bomber Suit and Helm (which I believe, gets you a "very high" CTR overall?) I also have a Haze Bomb (want an AoA) and at level 10 its CTR is "medium." Since very high = 4, and medium = 2, won't that give you max? (which is 6, btw) Or will getting a CTR UV on the bomb go OVER the limit, if it's possible?

You are correct: Mad Bomber
You are correct: Mad Bomber will get you to maximum CTR without any UVs. (However, people rightly hesistate to use it due to the status weaknesses on it-- and statuses are no joke in T3. For confident players only.)
UVs will not allow you to surpass Maximum. That's why it's helpfully called Maximum.
The Volcanic Demo Helm has the same CTR bonus as the Mad Bomber's (but the Volcanic Demo Suit has a weaker one).

I am in similar boat with trying to understand how the UV on a bomb interacts with other CTR reductions. My problem is that I just crafted a Haze Bomb with CTR Very High. My intent is the upgrade this to Shivermist Buster, which has a CTR of Med at Level 10. Does the UV overwrite this or do they add?
I wanna know because I may get the Mad Bomber suit. If they DO add, it will be 4+2=6=MAX and I won't need the CTR from mad bomber or volcanic suits. If they DO NOT add (which I think is the case) then the bomb will have CTR 4 and if i get just Mad Bomber Suit that will give me CTR 2 which will also get me to CTR MAX.
Wat do?

All CTRs are interchangeable.
All CTRs are interchangeable. CTRs from leveling are equivalent to CTRs from UVs and CTRs from equipment bonuses. A Haze Bomb with CTR Very High will upgrade itself to Maximum at Heat Lv10, without intervention from your armor. You can go with Bombastic Demo instead of Mad Bomber, swapping the (excess) CTRs for no longer being totally screwed if you get hit with a status effect.
Also, CTR Very High Haze Bombs are really, REALLY valuable. (You really lucked out with that thing.) If you haven't equipped it yet, you could also try selling it to another player in Trade chat or the Bazaar forum for a big pile of Crystal Energy... with which you'd use a tiny fraction to buy a CTR Medium Haze Bomb, enough to hit the max with just Heat Lv10 and the Volcanic Demo Helm. (The Volcanic Demo Suit only has a Low CTR; the helm has Med CTR. Guess it would have been too awesome if they both had Med. With both pieces equipped, though, you can still hit Max with just a Low CTR UV on your bombs.)

So if I am hearing you right you are saying that the CTR from the UV and the Bomb DO stack and, one the haze bomb is a Shivermist at Level 10, will be at Max CTR with no armor bonuses?

Also I know they are really really valuable but I play this game for fun and not to make money. Hopefully I will get more in the future
