I'd like to hear some actual tactics to conquer it. I'm very determined to find a way to beat this room without doing the, "Die, spark, wait until shields are down, revive, Blitz, gg" method, so if there's anyone here that has found a good way to clear this room well, think you could mention it here?

Also, please don't derail the topic about how BS it is or how you think it's fair. Yeah, I hate it. Yeah, I agree that it could use spawn adjustments. Still, I want to finish this without it being a spark sink or having to quit early. Thanks.

Hmm.

First, from my experience, the shields don't "go down". You have to break them, then once enough is broken it starts taking damage.

Really, this fight seems impossible without some source of a damage bonus. The Drakon's Frenzied Firestorm, and the Maskeraith's Deadly Shadow Cloak come to mind. Also, unlike most Battlepods, a hammer will hit with its dash, instead of it just ignoring it. This can do a good 1k damage per combo, or you can just constantly spam Attack -> Dash -> Pause -> Repeat. Unfortunately, doing this will get you killed because there's so much going on. You can try kiting everything but it respawns too fast, and you also have to consider your lack of a Vitapod and, most importantly, the lack of pills/hearts you have access to.

Spark of Life is your best bet.

Dibs, the boss' invulnerability goes down automatically. The respawning barriers just block your attacks and push you back a little, making it difficult to get a lot of damage in when it's actually vulnerable unless you break some of them just before.

Just from the few fights I've done, it's never gone down automatically. It always goes down once you've broken through enough of its barrier. Hence, from my experience.

But thank you for that info.

Dark Retribution spam while 1-2 people keep the rocket turrets down. You probably could also have someone dropping Shivers to keep the gremlins back. Chaos and Grey Owlite Shield would probably be the best defense/armor.

Shield

It goes down after one of its two pushes. First push is when it goes down. Second push is shortly after when the shield goes back up.

Past that, there isn't much I can say about tactics that would help without spending the time to show a diagram. There are safer areas to be than others - as some monsters wont be able to get to you and 2 people in that area can make it safe (leaving the other 2 for boss dps).

The menders like to mend butter and chicken.

The menders do heal the battlepod boss guy, keep that in mind. It's best not to play possum, not to stay dead until the battlepod's shield go down, since healers will respawn unlimitedly, and they can bring the battlepod's health to 100 percent in merely seconds.

That's why you one-phase it with a high-DPS weapon.

I have no mouth and I need to scream

Well I have a theory but haven't tested it. It requires four people.
Two people come in, kill the rocket pups, and shield on their respawn.
The next person needs a shivermist. Shivermist and VV might work as well. This person freezes the gremlinjas since all they could really do is recon deathmark.
And the last person goes for dmg on the battle pod.

Again, I haven't tested it, its just a theory.

Use maskeraith to hide and then kill the battlepod in one go.

Can't shield their respawn. They spawn next to it if you try.

Yes, but you can manipulate the puppies to respawn under the spiked blocks after you take them out with a ghost block.

Then all four of you can focus on the battlepod and staying alive~

Kill the rocket puppies

Kill the rocket puppies instantly when they respawn and shield/jump around to dodge nukes until he becomes vulnerable, then everyone starts hitting the bot with shadow cloaked acheron/hammer/... I wouldnt use blitz because your charge can get interrupted and its really not needed to use it, since just normal attacks with your strongest sword will bring it down in one go if the whole team attacks it.

Meh.

I'd actually be more interested in seeing solo tactics than team strategies.

There are no good strategies for doing the last room alone because there are no possible good strategies.

You aren't given enough time to nuke it alone with a high-power weapon without dying. If you don't one-phase it, you have to kill the mender over and over or run the risk that it full-heals it. While being shot at by everything else.

It just doesn't work.

Yep.

Here:

-One person spams the Venom Veiler. Adios, Menders.
-One person spams the Shivermist Buster. Adios, random mooks. Nitronome works too, but the lag makes it kinda eh.
-Everyone else spams killing the Rocket Puppies. Adios, flaming shrapnel of painful hot death.
-Kill the battlepod when the shield goes down.

It's easy. Stay dead the pod, wait until it's shield is gone. Revive using a Spark of Life and Blitz Charge it.

To be honest, I say that's cheating or abusing an exploit.

Where's the cheating or the exploit in there? Cheating would be most likely using external programs that give you adventage in the game, this clearly doesn't. And an exploit? I'm just using the Damage Bonus Spark plus it's Invulnerability so I can hit the pod alone without any other enemy hitting me.

I don't see the exploit or cheating in there. It's just using the stuff that the game gives us to play.
