This is only for windows. Mac OS done by Bopp. Linux link provided by Sandwich-Potato

Thought I would provide information on some methods of how to screencap for those wondering. Better results by playing in windowed:

  1. Press ALT+Print Screen (Looks like Print Scrn on the keyboard)
  2. If you want to take a pic of your whole desktop, then just press Print screen without pressing ALT
  3. Use the snipping tool by entering snipping tool into the start menu search

When you are done, you can upload your screenshot to imgur or other picture sharing sites!

If you come across more ways to screencap, feel free to post here!

original post is Windows-only?

Your directions are for Windows, right?

Here are the directions for Mac: Press Shift-Control-3.

What are the directions for Linux/Unix variants?

Yes, it is a java game. The fun part is linking it with a steam account on linux (since steam is for linux, but SK through steam is not allowed on linux). I would say that if someones running SK on linux, they probably can take screenshots already, or already know the best tool for solving problems in linux: google.

But... in case anyone is interested most Ubuntu variants are the same as windows instructions (#1/#2 opens a new window with your brand new image).

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

@Mystrian

I've gotten to T3 almost purely on Linux.

As for screencap software, it entirely depends on your desktop. Kde comes with Ksnapshot, GNOME with something I don't remember the name of, and for Xfce, you can get a plugin which lets you easily take pictures from a button on the menu bar. If you use Ubuntu or Debian, it's easy to download another screencap program using their package managers.

Or you could use GIMP, which I prefer when I want to make edits on the picture.

Who says Steam only for F12?

I've done a bunch of screenshots with SK's built-in feature that's not on Steam.

Here's Linux tutorials.
