Lag issues are more apparent on the Mac Client, so be warned. I run this on a more powerful mac and a weaker pc, and I have less lag on the weaker pc. There are a few levels like Firestorm Citadel that are VERY difficult to play on a mac because of this. However, I had a great play experience just running it on a mac for the first month, so don't let that dissuade you from playing.
Yup, that's how it's designed to be. This game will run on pretty much any operating system with full Java and OpenGL support.
