I can't be certain, but I think people use Punch less and less these days. Is it true?
Do people still roll with Punch?
I would expect to see more people rolling UVs now, but there is always the likelihood that a lack of items implies a lack of demand for UVs.
For instance, Zeddy rolls UVs once onto all new 5* items. Zeddy hasn't been crafting new 5* items because Zeddy cannot craft new 5* items because radiant drought. Therefor, I would imagine that Zeddy hasn't been using punch as often as he would have been.
Other than that, I can't think of much that would change people's rolling behavior- unless there is a contingent of people hastily crafting 3/4* weapons to get chances at UV tickets. Its...... how they roll.
Actually, I've been rolling MORE than before. Since I can't level up 5* items, it's all I can do to get my best gear better.
@Fehzor: A lack of Radiants wouldn't prevent crafting 5* gear.
@Hallaws
No, but it does greatly reduce the incentive to do so by raising all associated costs. When I write these things I hope that people don't just read them and go "Aha! Fehzor is wrong! Scold the wrong! Beat them!" because of some small exaggeration I make. So yes, if I say something technically incorrect but true in nature, please don't beat me up for it. Please.
@Autofire
That would be my first line of logic- if I can't heat my gear, I should just roll it ad infinitum until I get CTR very high on everything.
I'll throw softer punches next time, Fehzor.
How do you throw punches without me? Yesterday I threw this great punch, I punched shock max on my skolver coat. It was awesome.
let other people roll for UV's or get them through their alchemizing......then just buy the item you want with the UV(s) you want in Auction House, usually as 3* items. might have to save a bit to buy em there....but nothing a few vana runs can't fix. might be cheaper that way than with Punch, whom you could literally spend millions of crowns on to get a desired UV or UV's.
@Iron-Dragon-Guild: Hence the reason I'm wondering if people still roll for UVs. Can't buy them on the AH if people aren't rolling. I just can't tell if there is a UV drought or not.
I'm still doing the 1 hit punches now again.
Gremlin damage bonus VH on my electron vortex I don't even
It's still cheaper to craft 2* items and sell them even though mist crafting alts are gone. Needing multiple perfect uvs is much more problematic and punch is best for that especially if you can buy an item with two of them. The auction house hasn't been very good on uvs for armor. I saw some great 5* weapons recently. Good uv chances are pretty bad. I punched a freeze low on a chaos cowl a few weeks ago.
I've still yet to get back my CTR low on my Levi, and get Gremlin Medium on my obsidian gun so I can finally sell my sentenza.
indeed, i haven't needed to craft anything recently, so i am not up-to-date on the UV'd items in the Auction House.
About a week ago, I visited Punch. Won a 3 UV ticket from a Forge box. Had pretty decent UVs so i decided to do 1 UV rolls with my own money. Got 4 decent UVs on 4 different gears. Mostly CTR LOW and ASI LOW
I've been doing alot of rolling recently there seems to be a better chance of getting medium or high uv. They used to go from one extreme to the other im finding alot easier to recoup some of the cost back selling the unwanted med/high uv's.
eg i decide to roll on my 5* star brandishes spent 300k in all and got asi med ctr med and ctr max in one rolling session. In another session i spent 1.8 m rolling on vaporisers and got 5 ctr med 1 ctr high 1 ctr vh + a bunch of other damage bonus med-vh. I find it much more rewarding these days if you have the funds to keep going it at.
Got Damage bonus vs Gremlin Medium on Argent peacemaker.
I vowed that I will never use Punch anymore.
I've run out of new 5* items, so I've gotten around to rerolling things. Most of my bombs have at least CTR low at this point.
I've never rolled on gear, except for shields because shield UVs are limited to the 4 types of damage, and therefore, you never really get a "bad" roll.
I stopped doing it a while ago, though.
There are also status UVs on shields. And terrible uv rolls are possible, out of blue the stun max I got once on my pate shield, or a fire max on an owlite before. Also the sad truth is defensive UVs are practically useless on shields, they make zero difference in the number of hits your shield can take, a shadow max BTS won't protect you better than a non uv'd BTS against shadow attacks. I've never understood why people roll on shields.
The best bet when it comes to rolling is armors and helmets, most of the uv's you get will be uesefull, defensive and status, and contrairy to shield, uv's there make a big difference. A max defensive UV on a 5* helm or armor will get you pretty much the equivalent of a 4* extra defense.
To answer the OP I personnaly didn't roll less than before, in the end it's a matter of how much dispensable cr I have and how lucky I feel. Yesterday I felt lucky, now I'm flat broke and got extra lows useless uvs :(
Also, I think I should bring something up which is very important:
Now it's harder to ragecraft for UVs because you need alchemy orbs instead of daily mist regen. It's probably cheaper (Unless you can get a lot of UVs in your crafting) to throw punches at things.
OOOOOOHHH DARN. I HAVE TO DO THAT! I'm going to make a picture of a knight throwing a bunch of tiny Punches at his Skolver Coat! xD
I don't use Punch, but had to post here because the pun in the title is too great.
"There are also status UVs on shields."
From what I've heard, they removed Status Resist UVs from being on Shields.
I have an open gambling addiction, so yes. Punch helps feed my addiction.
Hehe... Get it? C-cause you roll with punches, and you can roll punches in real life... Wait what? I came too late? It was funny right? No? Okay...
@Doctorspacebar: /salute
Maybe someone actually sees something when I do something subtly.

People roll punch now more than evar. I mean it's so OP it KO's vana in one hit and reverses the curse on Justice so they can fight again. Rolling punches against wheels makes them destroy the machines that spit them out. It'll even KO shadowfire and Trojans.
Rollololololol
Yeah. I still roll with Punch. We roll down the grassy hills of Cradle and in Wolver de-
Oh wait you mean UVs?
If you're ever gonna roll, roll in impervious Guild Hall. It's literally the best place, i rolled ASI high on Sentenza today :) (22/12/13)
WTS ASI HIGH SENTENZA (Unbinding done by myself) :3
Sometimes we just get in the car and go. We don't know where, but that's part of the fun!
In all seriousness, people have gotten their UVs, or are hoping to get a good ticket from a forge prize box. I doubt funds are the problem, as usually the rich are the ones rolling the UVs.
