When the Garrison came, some people thought Town Square was gonna be a Ghost Town.

Remember when players thought Town Square was gonna be populated by newbies and the Garrison would be were the Veterans were?

Now why, after several months Do I bring the subject up? Well, because I was in the Garrison today. I almost forgot the place existed.

Last time I was there was when I wanted to know what the construction dudes built:

And they sure took a long time to build the Garrison (since Darkharvest 2012):

But I definitely thought It was gonna be better than our old guild hall which was prone to glitches:

But our new GH was also prone to errors, like partial nudity:

To the point where we sued OOO and they had to pay us:

Yet our Guild Hall wanted more:

I guess players got afraid of the money-grabbing Guild Halls, the useless Lab and that random building at the end that it's just barren:

I think its more that all of Haven is dominated by the auction house, which players like to check. If gate construction was more interesting, you might see *some* players hang out in the arcade, and if the devs put some kind of attraction in the garrison, like "pet training" or something, you might see *some* players log in to that instead. Right now though, we don't see these things happening.

Alternatively, the devs could just make a hotkey for the auction house- though we'd still see players gather in front of the now useless auction house out of habit.

I go to AH out of habit. I

I go to AH out of habit. I go to the other places out of necessity. Which is pretty rare nowadays.

old days

I agree with Fehzor. Before the Auction House was added to the game, knights would congregate mainly in the Arcade, particularly near the alchemy machine. (In the really old days, this was the prime spot to buy an invitation to depth 23.) Secondarily, knights would congregate near the alchemy machine in the Bazaar. The Town Square was a ghost town. The addition of the Auction House made the Town Square primary, at the expense of the Bazaar and the Arcade. Of course, missions and battle sprites made the Arcade even more barren. Anyway, the Auction House is the main attraction, because gear is the only sense of progress in this game.

I miss being a new guy

Tier 1: hanged all the time in the Bazaar. Especially near Kozma. She was so nice to me. giving me good recipes
Tier 2: was in Arcade most of the time. waiting for invites to Jelly King. also did alot of t2 LD so bought stuff with Krogmo coins. Also messed around in the Advanced Traing Hall with my new 3* gear and performing the famous gate glitch.
Tier 3: have a little money to spend so yea, I hang out in front of Auction House.

Maybe when I get old and virtually filthy rich, Ill hang out in the Guild Hall.

The places I rarely been in are 1) The Lab 2) Guild Hall [even though RoF has a really nice GH] 3) Hall of Heroes 4) Garden and 5) the secret gardens before th entrance to Town Square

My home spot is the arcade because no one ever goes there, thus faster loading.

Also how did you sue OOO into making Hyperion put in all that stuff?

Someone probably stole all their stuff and they had a GM give it all back to them.

My Guildhall still has a whole 1F Right Wing with a crafting room but zero upkeep :|
The previous owner told me how Guile always had to come down and give the centre computer a kick.
