Simple, point blank idea.

Take arms from arms appropriation. Place in player's guild inventory for da newbs. Appropriated arms start back at heat lvl. 1 and are perma-bound upon receiving. Permabound items will now be locked from the menu of appropriation.

Arguments for:
I don't enjoy deleting items completely from the game.
Does something that we can actually SEE.

Against:
Trade gets opened for 5* items for cheaper than the unbind cost. (hence permabind).

Oh don't listen to me I'm the voice of reason.

Well the thing is with this idea it some what stabs OOO in the back when it comes to them making money I do like the idea of giving people items, but it really doesn't make sense from a business stand point to do such a thing.

I think these kinds of missions should take 3* items with a bummed up prestige upon completion. This would make these kinds of missions better.

If this were an issue

Couldn't they decide to keep the arms at a lower star level in the first place? To feel less gimped on both ends?

If prestige did something more than show how 1337 the avatar is with a horseface on their name, that'd be nice.
But atm prestige doesn't provide a good enough reward for arms appropriation to even ask for 3* items imo. That's why I made this. Right now, arms appropriation is a nearly useless slot for a purely cosmetic score that provides no reward beyond numbers under you on inspect and a little "oh I've been here awhile" badge.

Even if a set (astronomical) prestige score offered occasional access to the test server, that'd be something at least.

What about the guildless?

I mean, I don't plan on doing any of these prestige missions (that's my gear you're taking!) but for this suggestion, it might be nice to figure something out for those without a guild. And what about those guilds that only accept high-end players?

I would love to be able to see the knights we rescue in prestige missions wielding the weapons we donate, or even have random wandering AI in the Clockworks that have the gear. They might even thank you for your donation and give you a consumable they found.

The alternative..

If they could actually code the carp, I'd suggest an alternative option that enables your appropriated arms to appear with recon rangers upon their entry.
But I don't see the idea receiving much fanfare. Due to the fact that such a patch would require the ability to keep a checklist on items you've donated which may or may not get dumped every 30 days or so.
OOO has hamsters and cardboard to work with. Can't build much with that.
