A long time ago I crafted some normal max magic hood and cloak.

But I've been wondering what I should craft them into?
I don't necessarily want to make a Chaos Set, since I think it would be nicer to have status maxes for that.

That leaves Grey Feather and Divine Set.
Which would benefit best from the normal maxes?

I find my answers have become

I find my answers have become more lockdown-centric with gear since pve is generally chaos/brandish, disregarding defense.

Grey feather has a ton of elemental defense and status resists, and would benefit nicely from normal max.
Divine set would benefit a tiny-tiny bit from double normal max in Clockworks etc, but not in PvP. Because it has no normal defense to begin with, and defense scales with max added on to existing chunks of defense becomes more effective than a singular UV with no backing base-stats.

Divine Set, obviously, as it lacks normal def.

:/

Idk, normal is pretty useless in T3, I reckon making it to a grey feather will significantly decrease damage taken from a trolljan.

"Nope, max normal does nothing."

Okay, but it is better than nothing right?

useless? zombie slap, lumber smash, gremlin hammer, gun puppy bullet, etc are half normal, and half (whatever it is) at tier 3. Good enough for me.

Freaking deleted my whole post... -_-;

OKAY, short n' sweet cause I made a huge mistake. ^

1. Normal damage isn't useless, it's by far the most useful defense type.
2. Divine would benefit from normal the most, making it more solid as an "all around" set for defense in PvE. However, it wouldn't help in PvP.
3. Chaos would benefit from normal nicely, but status weakness is it's...weakness. It's strong enough already, but there's no problem making it stronger than it already is so you don't get hurt too much from normal damage dealing enemies/opponents.
4. Grey Feather would benefit, but it wouldn't be a good idea to choose this if you could make Divine so much better in PvE and offensive buffs are highly advised in PvP...unless you're a bomber, they can be more flexible.

That's my take on this anyway, I'd give more detail but don't feel like typing my lengthy paragraphs again.

If anyone is still wondering,

If anyone is still wondering, I crafted them into the Divine Set.

I went to the first floor of FSC and the first floor of the Gauntlet, both normal and elite.
Shock fiends hit me for 6 pips of health, slags first swipe 6 pips, and wheel launchers did something 6-7.

not sure if it's good or not, but now I wish I could try Normal Max grey feather set.

UFSC is where the divine set shines the most, curse and fire resist give more tolerance to those monsters attack.
