I plan on doing my first SL run with my friends and I'm wondering what to bring...
For starters, should I bring my Blackened Crest or BTS? I heard that I should worry more about shadow damage, but I'm not too sure...
Should I bring my Blitz Needle? I heard that there are tight spaces and brining a Blitz isn't recommended.
What should other swords/guns/bombs should I bring? A friend of mine is already going to bring a Shivermist, so we're fine there...
Also, are crowd control weapons recommended? (Like the BTB charge for example)

I haven't done any shadow lairs myself, but basing it upon what is in the ordinary GWW then blitz would probably be a bad idea. Wolvers dodge a lot as you know and I can see it getting you fairly hurt.

I would recommend DBB for a bomb because of the none-knockback knockdown that is great against groups of beasts. I've heard nitronome is good for the unknown passage.

BTB seems like an obvious choice for a weapon, but the group control charge is made redundant if you bring a DBB.

Of course I don't actually know anything about this stuff so people are welcome to overwrite anything I just typed.

This is more of an Arsenal

This is more of an Arsenal topic, so I'd suggest moving it there, and also searching in that forum for more info. On the first page there is a guy who was asking for party members for a Rabid Snarbolax run, and some people were giving advice on gear to take.

Basic recommendations, including damage types and crowd control, can be found on the wiki: Shadow Lair.

I can't comment on your shield without knowing about your armor. I do agree that, unless you have a lot of CTR and ASI, Blitz Needle might not be useful. For more specific advice, read at least the Shadow Lair wiki page, and ask again.

Also, this is a frequently asked question, so you might try Googling rabid snarbolax site:forums.spiralknights.com.
