Clarification about the Deadshot Chapeau

In a neighboring topic, I've been told that the Damage Bonus vs Undead on the Deadshot Chapeau applies to guns only. However I noticed that there seems to be no gun icon next to the text which leads me to believe the damage is universal and applies to all weapons.

When compared to the other recipes I've learned from my arsenal, they do display the icon.

Is the Deadshot Chapeau's Undead Damage Bonus universal for all weapons, or does it just apply to guns only and is not shown? Just some clarification is all I ask for.

If someone has it they can just check a sword that's equipped and it'll show whether or not it's applied. Since it's not specific I'd assume it works for everything, since other items specificy (vog coat 'sword speed')

why would a sword user want

why would a sword user want deadshot in the first place?
they can just get a skolver set, and do same damage to undead as deadshot, and higher damage to everything else than deadshot set.
both sets have same defense, skolver has positive freeze resist vs deadshots 2x negative resist.

Easy to check

The character screen combines all available bonuses at the bottom where you can check your weapons into one whole. If someone has one to test, they could easily highlight a sword and check whether the bonus was listed.

Turn on damage numbers and go whack a zombie with your proto sword, and then let us know :)
