Should I craft my level 10 avenger up to a DA with max sword damage bonus? My 5* armour being full chaos and a BTS. Basically, level 10 Avenger with damage increase low, or level 1 DA with damage increase max?
Erm... I don't know if this is a good idea.

I agree, that Divine Avenger's charge attack is much better than Avenger's. This tilts the decision toward upgrading quickly. However, the charge rate is slow enough that you'll want to have as much CTR as possible. Even with your Chaos, considering waiting until you have enough 5-star fire crystals to heat your DA to heat level 5.
I'd probably craft it- being that DA's charge attack will do more damage with all of the phantasmal blades. Try heating it to level 5 when you can as well, for ultra CTR. But really it depends on how often you use the charge. If you don't, don't bother crafting it.
One of the few weapons that actually becomes better at 5* immediately.
