I'm not really serious about these ideas, but I felt like sharing nonetheless. What if we had two new LD maps, both of which would be aggravatingly chaotic in their own ways?
The first one would be a largely open map, with some walls and barriers here and there. What would make this level special is that, with the exception of a a moderately-sized area around the CPs and spawns, the entire floor can inflict random status. The flooring would look like the shock pads in IMF, but at random intervals they can either inflict shock, fire, or freeze. To take it up a notch, there could also be status turrets (flamethrowers and shock lasers) which would fire at random. Everybody loses!
For the second one, what if there were spawning pads for clockworks enemies? Imagine how funny it would be to see a Trojan spawn and then charge into a team or a group of people fighting each other? Or lumbers status-smashing people to death? Or if a status chromalisks decloaked and cluttered the floor with their attack? What about greavers swarming in and either killing you or your enemy? There would be some sort of cap on how many mobs can be out on the map, of course. We wouldn't want it to get too crazy.
Oh the lulz to be had!
On a more serious note, should these ever be created, the former would teach people the importance of fighting on the CPs, while the latter could encourage teamwork
I approve.
