This is Mowhawk with a question. (actually many, but one for this post)
Ultimately, is AoA or SB better?
I am going to craft one of the 2star versions of them, but which one should I craft?
Ash of Agni or Shivermist Buster

Shivermist Buster is both blinding and freezes enemies in place. While this is good for solo play and the Lord Vanaduke fight, freezing enemies in place is just a potential disaster in a party, as enemies can still attack while frozen. Ash of Agni does not obstruct enemy movement, and burns everything to death. It will not disrupt the flow of party-play, however it can be unsafe to use as, like I said, it does not obstruct enemy movement.
It really depends on your play-style.
Get both 2* bombs and see which one you like better (note that 2* Mist Bombs are garbage).

I’m not going to get both
I have 100 energy to spend on orbs. 50 is set aside for a magic hood.
I will get both in the future, but for now, which one should I try first?
Also, how powerful is the fire for 2star fiery vaporizer?
Too many questions from me, hm?

To be straight, if you're still a 2*, you shouldn't get either of them. Mist Bombs require more than just Leveling Up to be useful over your average sword or even a gun. They have excruciatingly long charge times, and the 2* Mist Bomb range is... garbage, to say the least. It's not worth the time it takes to charge it up. If you want one on the side to work on, I'd say Shivermist Buster is the way to go so you can have it for later. But you should work on your main equipment rather than worry about mist bombs. Give the Thorn Bomb a go!

I’m not a real 2 star, but a growing 3 star missing plenty of orbs. I’m rank 5-2, missing the Jelly king mission and the Hall of Heroes mission. Right now, I’m looking to expand my 2 star gear before choosing which to level. I usually wear my trusty level 10 cobalt helm, a level 5 mighty cobalt, a level 9 defender, a level 4 voltech MkII, and switch between a dark matter bomb and a snarble barb. I wish I had more fangs for a spine cone. Gun-Bomb is my specialty, after failing miserably with swords.
Is the thread ready to be graveyarded yet?

well, this would be shiver mist, because of that 'still keep me safe'-part.
But I can tell from experience: my first bomb was the fiery one and in the royal palace it kills the minnies better and it is the best choice if you got trouble with trojans (each time I faced a trojan, I took my relieable 2 star firey bomb).
but keep this in mind: for the (till now) hardest normal boss 'Vanaduke' the better choice will be Shivermist. Vanaduke himselfe cant get burned, but frost makes a fight much more easy (usually).
EDIT: in Jelly palace I would go for ash of agni because it effectively kills the minnies in the bossfight that would heal the king otherwise.

Lemme put it this way:
Get AoA if you like to do stuff yourself, Get Shiv if you like being support.
It's a generalization, not always true AoA somtimes are great support (say arena) and Shivs somtimes a great Dps bomb if you don't fancy the shard bombs/ too poor for electron.
But your 2/3* just use the the generalization i gave you, then worry later.

Shivermist is good if your team is using ice, but for the jelly king they won't be. Not until the endgame and even then, cooperation is an issue.
A definitive answer here- get the 2* ash of agni, it'll be nice for the jelly king levels.

how about this
If you have 3 slots, grab the Fiery Vaporizer and just keep it in the 3rd slot. It's a great support bomb.
They both are, and I have both in 5* variants... but they fill very different roles.
I personally use the AOA a lot, but seldom bring out my Shiver (it has it's place, if you want to immobilize your enemy). I use 3 weapon slots pretty much all the time, and carry a sword, a gun and a bomb. I have all the myst bombs except haze, and I like them all, yes even the Venom Veiler. Each has it's own specialty, and each will be horrible in certain situations.
TL;DR Get a Fiery Vaporizer. When you have the funds, and enjoy bombing, get the Freezing Vaporizer. (then upgrade them... they are really good at 5*)
p.s. If you can land a copy of OCH, the Retribution bomb line is also pretty amazing!
These two bombs really can't be compared, as they fill two completely different roles. If you could only pick one, I'd say Shivermist Buster, but if you can get two or more, make Ash of Agni along with Voltaic Tempest. Enemies will fall to your feet as they helplessly burn to death while not being able to fight back because of the shock spasms.
