One was at the end of the daily prestige mission, the other was in the arcade. I'm curious if anyone else has found multiple lockboxes in one play session, or if the RNG suddenly decided to pat me on the head.

Have you opened any recently? If not then you really are one lucky offspring of a lovely couple.
I've gotten 4 in the past week. But then again, I'm a nutcase for the boxes. Unboxed a dusky wolver tail just the other day :x
Hope you're just as fortunate if you choose to open them as well.

"Free" boxes like the Frosty Prize Boxes count towards your chances.

Well I did have my grand unboxing two days ago
I opened 10+ different kinds of boxes, one of which was an iron lockbox.

I thought they fixed the free thing a while ago.
Back when Dark Harvest 2012 started, opening Hallow prize boxes did influence them, I had over 30 irons show up just from opening a lot of hallow ones, but they fixed it the next day.

I got an Iron Lockbox years ago, opened it a few months ago. It was the only one I had, so I was disappointed when its contents yielded a loss.
That same day, I got another one.

I forgot that you could get
I forgot that you could get them after a level, I think I've gotten one in the 300 hours or so I have played in total off and on over the last few years.
And still I didn't get a forgeprize box, RNG, what is wrong with you >:(
