So what is the best weapon overall? I know I'm gonna get a lot of stuff saying, Well there is no best weapon and probably also Bopp's guide but I still want to know what it is for you. If you could only have one weapon what would it be... Why not other choices...

Especially with damage boosts, its damage is colossal. I found an attack-up orb while fighting zombies, and my acheron hit harder than my elemental gun.
It's basically a faster, three hit Gran Faust minus the small chance at curse.
I'm probably gonna argue the Leviathan blade, It's good in so many cases because it is not too specialized. If I could only have one weapon I would also definitely steer clear of Nightblade and other Elemental swords. Warmaster Rocket Hammer is great but a little slow and if you're facing fast, small grouped enemies it not too good. I would definitely not use bombs, as for me they are a little hard kill enemies accompanied by silkwings. Guns I also find a little less affective for me to use. Being forced to stand still with the autogun line is annoying and makes it hard to use in tough situations. For me swords dish out the DPS better and more thoroughly, and while the Leviathan blade is a little obvious it is a strong and safe weapon to use throughout the game. I can not speak as well unfortunately for guns and bombs though as others may able to expand a little on that.
Acheron > CIV against Undead. In damage AND charge attack.

Acheron beats everything because of high damage and the charge attack recovery is small, making it safe to use. The Blitz Needle is a close second, as are the other Brandish lines. Vortex Bombs don't place anywhere because they don't deal damage directly, but their utility of clumping mobs together for easy killing would put them near the top of the list.
Pretty much what everyone else said. Acheron's DPS is pretty, well, OP. Pretty much what everyone else said (although I do not totally agree CIV is that great). And Hex is right: Acheron is great in pure power, and the Blitz is basically it's twin brother in that case (with Chaos set equipped with those two? Hooooh boi). Honorable mentions go to, again, Vortex bombs for No.1 utility, Warmaster Rocket hammer for its PURE elemental damage and possible 5 hit, the other brandishes for general use, Antigua lines, and Divine Avenger for its wide, strong attacks.
Also, don't forget that you're shield and armor affect the use, because Blitz+Chaos+Barb shield=POWAH, or WRH/3-hit weapon+Vog+Swiftstrike=dat DPS.
I prefer Acheron over Leviathan since they buffed it a few months ago.
They said slightly buffed, but with max dmg bonus it's a huge difference!

Since the buff, Acheron is genuinely the strongest sword in the game.
Cool fact: beating Dark City with nothing but Acheron is a fun and easy way to pass the time.
By the way my Acheron is only Level 5.

My #1 weapon would have to be DVS, because it's attack speed can keep me pounding on enemies fast enough to prevent any counter attack, it can hit up to 10-TIMES! (granted you know how to use it) and can poison enemies preventing them from healing and adding damage at the same time. Plus, it's normal damage meaning it can be used on any monster equally.
Considering I have 3 main knights of each weapon type, I would have to add that my #1 gun would be Storm Driver and #1 bomb being a tie between BAB/DBB/DR
The best weapon is your shield, because you can use it to defend yourself and to attack with shield bash

HAVE to be specific. Best on what? Attack animation? That would be the wild hunting blade. Damage? That would be the rocket hammer! Speed? Imma go with meh barbarous thorn blade! Knockback? Nitronome or GF or DA. Crowd Control? the Haze Bombs Line. Most damage over time? Acheron!
EVERY SINGLE WEAPON HAVE THEIR OWN SPECIAL QUALITY. NO BEST WEAPON OVERALL!
Best Sword: Acheron. For those times you need simple DEEPS against skinny enemies.
Best Gun: Blitz Needle. For those times you need extreme DEEPS against fat enemies.
Best Bombs: Nitronome and Shivermist. For those times you need crowd control against things that you can't control.
But seriously, it's hard to define best (except in Acheron's case). Many weapons can be used different ways to be superior than another.
The best weapon is clearly the Proto Sword.

I affirm the resolution that proto sword is the most superior due to the fact that is deals the least damage as a sword and according to a quote most live by "violence solves nothing", thus no swords can outweigh the true strength of the proto.

I'd honestly say that Volcanic Pepperbox is more powerful than Blitz if it's the only weapon you're allowed to bring as it can deal with anything while Blitz kind of fails vs Constructs and Slimes, although it can still manage.
I am going to cling to the small amount of hope I still have left for winmillion to get a 5* variant.
The best weapon: Winbillion, Final Winmillion, Divine Winmillion, Gran Winmillion, Winmillion Driver, Barbarous Winmillion Blade, Winmillion Rocket Hammer.

Combuster/Acheron will suit all of your needs. Unless using Combuster versus Oilers or Fire Status Wolvers.
lol. Couple people in my guild had this discussion the other day. We finally agreed on "With it's unnecessary buff: Archeron. Without said buff: Nothing."
The best way we could put "how do you decide which weapon is the "best"" is "If you had to face every bit of content in the game in one go, with one weapon, which would be the best to do it with?"
The archeron buff makes it the best choice, as its buff makes it pretty much OP. without the buff, there are at least a few choices that could all be argued so we figured there were too many options to have to go through :P
Without the buff, it's probably Combuster. It will slaughter anything but enemies that are resistant to both fire and its damage. Still, the normal damage makes it usable vs both Gremlins and Beasts.
Get a leviathan blade with an ASI very high and wear a skolver or chaos set and it will very good in PvE and PVP
Acheron is a powerful sword. It was my favorite even before the buff... and before I got lucky on a 2 UV ticket I got from a forge box, that gave me ASI High on my Acheron... now I use this sword even more! :)
Acheron+Black Kat cowl+Attack booster= Huge smile on my face (and a lot dead enemies). pump some CTR in the mix, and spamming the Acheron charge is very powerful.
Combuster is a close second. Warmaster Rocket Hammer a close 3rd (against kats... no competition)
Don't forget about Dark Retribution as an all out DPS bomb.

Clearly Cold Iron Vanquisher. Does more damage to Undead than 5* Calibur.
Cold iron Vanquisher, it deals normal damage and kicks undead's butt extra hard. And also, its charge attack is superior to that of the leviathan blade, why? Coz it can hit ANY stationary target with in melee range three times with its charge attack, mean by stationary, I mean any thing that is standing still, so that include: a yelling wolver, a mender trying to heal, a zombie who is about to perform a claw attack, a standing lumber and any turrets, yes CIV will deal 3X charge attack damage to all the things I listed, need I say more?
