Guns!!! and other weapons besides swords...

I really like the game so far, I LOVE the alchemy you have to use to craft a new weapon. It could just use some more oomph in the weaponry.

I would like to see some guns with more WOW factor such as:

-Traditional Gatling gun that looks like a mini-gun, with more rounds than the needle shot.
-An Alchemer that shoots spiraling energy bolts.
-A grenade launcher with spherical shaped grenades that have a slight delay after firing.
-Crossbow type that shoots bursts of energy.
-Ammo pack upgrade that can be added on to increase fire rate.

As far as the swords go, most are pretty impressive, but could use other weapons besides swords such as:

-Mace charged with fire, ice, poison, etc.
-Spear or pike of some kind.
-Whip or chain.
-Boomerang type blade with quick return. (adding some fancy spin moves could enchance the looks)
-Sword with "shield" rush attack.

I'll post more if I think of anything else.

i have no doubt they are working on new weapons but as far as your idea goes

autogun line>Gatling

i have o clue why you would want that type of alchemer other than "it looks pretty" i take function over form anyday

grenade...i am not opposed but it seems broken... make it charge-to-use like a bomb and make it charge-in-place

crossbows...again no opposed it might be nice to have it have a penetration effect so to hit more enemies

there's armor that does that... i would prefer packs that increase ammo clips like for alchemers or an overall decrease in reloading time

mace sure
spear.... needs elaboration i feel that it could have a longer hitbox area than others which can be abused
whip or chain are extravagant and i feel have no place in SK
boomerang the same way
shields are for defense only we arent captain america

The ammo pack could be a trinket bought from brinks the token trader. The boomerang should be counted as a gun, with non-move fire like the autogun. Monkeyman was right about the autogun being gattaling enough, but you should be able to turn like a turret.

The Ratchet and Clank series has continually made great weapons, maybe OOO can use some basic weapon concepts from this. It will at least charge up a brain storm, right?

Most of the weapons I

Most of the weapons I suggested are for looks, but when given the right attributes and ability, they can still perform like a sword which each having it's own strengths and weaknesses. Makes the game that much more interesting. I guess my thinking is combining some aspects of Castlevania into Spiral Knights. I loved "Symphony of the Night" and it involved alchemy and upgrading weapons as well, no matter how wimpy the weapon seemed or how lacking the overall gameplay was. A Shield Rush move involves a sword that charges and uses it's energy to create a forcefield that acts like a battering ram when executed in a dash towards an enemy. The grenade should act like a bomb should, but it's meant to place the explosive at a distance before the enemy sees you coming or to place multiple explosives at a distance to take out multiple enemies at the same time without too great of risk.

And I totally agree with everything else, especially about the Autogun adding a "Gatling" counterpart.

May be good

A Flail which is a Chain sorta but with big spiked ball at end
Pros: Fast attack Long reach
Cons:Slow recover and attack can be interrupted

Chain gun? Shoots chain with spike on end 2 stab enemy's and pull them to you
Pros:Quick recover, grabbing enemy's to you, enemy's need to recover from hit (Like when u use heavy sword and gotta wait till another combo)
Cons:Really weak attack, hard 2 aim, Cant move while shooting

Mega Laser Shoots a huge laser that hits massive dmg
Pros: Massive dmg, Laser is long and lasts while 3-5 secs Can be shot from a far. anyone can run into and take massive dmg, Laser has big width
Cons: cant move while shooting after shooting it gets overheated and u take dmg from the heat/sometimes a burn huge knock back and if there is wall behind you it cause u even more dmg for flying into while (Pvp) if someone is benhind u it will hit them and u both will get dmg caused

Riot shield
Pros: Huge shield absorbs most dmg u take only little bit Huge reach when attack u charge and can aim with mouse while your charging 2 aim where ur gunna hit (Like running using mouse )
Cons: Slow attack,takes place of shield and wep,Slow movement speed,Can take ultra dmg (Crit) if u get hit in the back take dmg for missing an attack cant cancel an attack

Mage staff that shoots Element dmg like fire shock etc
Have to charge attack (Like bombs) Damage and size of energy ball attack based on tier

Nunchucks
Supha fast quick recover increased running speed with it out

Some type of fighting Hand wraps/gloves (FIGHTING WITH YA FISTS YESH!)
Fastest recover super fast attack 20 hit combo with feet/fists Charge is just rampage of red fists shield animation is taken over with hand wraps and u block with hands wraps (Shield stats will determine your blocking)

Ninja star / Ninja/assassin outfit :DDD
Ninja star Fast attack Charge attacks throws explosive Star explodes on contact with anything Ninja/assassin suit need Makes star faster higher recover and Longer range can make u invisible but u can see a thin outline of u (Only if u stand still)

I meant that the autogun already was a gatling, just that it needed to allow turning while firing.

Punching gloves/ brass knuckles sound nice, but the mega lazer seems too similar to the pummel gun, and the mage staff seems like it would work like the zapper or the frost gun. A flail sounds good, but I wouldn't use it like that. You could, say, charge it up to keep swinging it abve your head, then release the button to swing (mabey holding it down longer = more damage)? Having to keep the momentum of the ball at the end would blance out the high damage and reach a flail would have.

Meant for hand wraps have reduced dmg every other hit like one time it does 10 then couple hits later it does a 25 so on
