I'm curious... as painful as they were to obtain in the first place, I'm wondering if some knights were lucky enough to receive the rings from the summit and craft them into the Grand Solstice Ring.
Despite really wanting the ring for what it offered, the mission was pretty much impossible with my gear... and the mission itself was insanely rough, too.
But anyway, any crafts?
Several of my guildmates found one, or the other. I ended up selling my first found ring for an exorbitant price, and then with the profits later on bought the two rings to craft, as well as two for my brother on their own.
I have no idea.
But I will tell you this, it's a lot more rare than the bkc.
I found one of the rings and bought the other after prices went down.
I know someone who found both rings though.
Considering grand solstice rings are still rather useful, a lot of people are willing to go to a large extent to obtain them, though I don't know anyone who does that.
Only enough to get the prices raised well above a million over the Auction House. Probably on purpose, scripted and planned for months, by OOO to guarantee the prices stay high.
2 ring drops, luckily the two different ones.
1 free Grand Solstice ring for me, still unbound (until I get a good offer/find an epic use).
I did enough runs for 3 or 4 reskins but no one in any of the parties I was in got a ring to drop during all ~50 full runs. So, RNG is a jerk.
But no rings. Only one person found a ring in all my runs, but I didn't find any myself.
