Dead on the ground, not a single spark of life in my arsenal, havent seen any spark drop in a while, too ashamed to ask friend to come revive me with spark, oh how i miss that health revive system..

gods ain't gonna help you, son.
restart mission, and do some arcade for sparks. don't use sparks entierly if you aren't certain, completely and positivly, that it will be worth it. if you can use a spark in a better way, just don't use it.

There is an energy reviving system: Buy sparks with energy.
Note: You get a big discount if you buy them ahead of time.
I have no problem with the way the game changed from promoting "soloing until everyones dead or you find one heart to rev everyone" to "dying actually means something now".
