How do you more Elite Orbs apart from Energy Depot, Drops and AH?

So I recently started a few months ago, and now I have been taken to the 4 star stage where I have to get 4 star equipment to go to Rank 7-1. Does anyone know how to get more Orbs, cause AH auctions are a bit too overpriced, and I'm still on my first item that needs to be transmuted to a 4 star weapon. :P

I'm a striker, and I'm going for Ash Tail Cap, Ash Tail Coat, Bristling Buckler due to the fact the SwiftStrike Buckler is only level 3, and Faust/Avenger.

Btw, in your opinion, is Avenger better or Faust? I can't decide, cause I don't wanna be cursed, but it looks cool. :D

See the wiki page Rarity, to learn where elite orbs of alchemy can be found. You might also search Google for something like "elite orb site:forums.spiralknights.com". You can find threads there. Sorry, but I don't have anything to add to what's already been said.

Btw, in your opinion, is Avenger better or Faust?

They have different damage types, so they are not directly comparable. You might benefit from reading my detailed sword guide. We could advise you better, if we knew what the other weapon(s) you carry were.

Right. There is no point to getting the Spur line (other than curiosity). In fact, as soon as you have two swords, there is no point in either of them being normal. It's all explained in my sword guide. I hope that it helps you.

Well I m 5* and I do FSC farming to get eternal orbs but for you the roarmulies twin should be the right mission to get these elite orbs besides it gives you a good amount of money for the future

And about my opinion on the sword well they have the same power but I prefer the Faust due to its chance of inflicting Curse effect witch is realy OP in Lockdown so I see it's I bit stranger comparing to Avenger

Well, sasuke, FSC stands for Fire Storm Citadle, the end game mission, the last stop of your campain before you become the Hokage of the leaf villag- I mean a vanguard of the Spiral order.

FSC consists of zombies, lots and lots of fire zombies, AKA. Slags. They deal shadow damage and fire damage, so you know what to get, armor with shadow defense and fire defense. And since slags are weak against elemental, you may want to have an elemental sword or a gun. As well as a shield that can protect you against fire and elemental, why? Don't ask.

FSC will be the place you will grind the most and get the most of your end game income, and yeah, good luck mastering your sharinga- I mean your skill in farming FSC, good luck.

Supply Depot

Much easier to just grind for the cr to buy them from the supply depot, as they are the rarest orbs to find from boxes. Try RJP/IMF, as the boxes after the boss may give elite orbs, as well as the cr to buy the rest. If you find 1 and buy 3 with ce, for example, sell one unbound one for more cr.

Don't run RT! All it is is extreme spark use and no orbs to be seen for miles.

I run JK almost every day for fun and I find Elite Orbs every other run. Usually 1 per run.

Do JK... good cr payout (plus deh tokens) and Elite Orbs everywhere lol

When I do JK, I only get Advanced Orbs....Also I'm not going suicido against Vanduke, I'm only at rank 6-2...

I also have a swiftStrike buckler that can't level up, so what should I get instead now?

An owlite shield is a good start. The swift strike buckler won't last you very long in FSC.

A Bristling Buckler from the Snarbolax is also good for a swordsman, due to its good defense and damage bonus.

You guys are totally confusing me...

Woah....So many replies. So...I think I'm going to go for Faust, get a Bristling Buckler then level it up, somehow get Ash Tail Cap and Coat, and grind RJP for Elite Orbs as it's the easiest for me. Are you sure you get them at RJP though? I only got Advanced Orbs....

Btw, what does "CE" mean?

CE used to mean Crystal Energy a few months ago when there was a whole different system of playing the game, but there's only one type of Energy now so it's just Energy. We call it CE because we're just used to it.

CE, elite, other weapon

"CE" stands for "crystal energy", which is now simply called "energy". Many players still use the old abbreviation. If you are confused about other abbreviations that people use in this game, read this: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/List_of_commonly_used_abbreviations.

In four recent RJP runs, I have received a total of one Elite Orb and no Advanced Orbs.

The armor is good --- very standard for sworders. But let me repeat again: We can't evaluate a one-weapon loadout. Weapons work well (or poorly) together, in combination. We need to know what your other weapon would be. Avenger would be fine. Arc Razor would not.

Finding orbs is rare. It's not supposed to be common. The "usual" way to get orbs is to buy energy with crowns (or real money) and buy the orbs with energy. Finding an orbs in a treasure box should be considered a pleasant surprise.

There is no evidence that difficulty affects orb drop rates. Indeed, there have been many threads about that question, and none of them have offered any evidence (that I can remember). Also, I participate in a project to collect data on missions, and that project's data don't support the idea either (although we don't have many data on orbs yet).

To answer your question, I was running RJP on Elite difficulty in the four times I mentioned in post #17.

On the data...

I've been the only one I've seen around attempting to log the rates of rarities, only to be thwarted with the arcade redux (which will be changing and has already changed the rates). I've only been testing on Elite mode, so can't really speak for normal/advanced.

I will say that last time I tested, the "1 every other run" is a bit above my average. It was a bit closer to 1 every 4 runs or so. You get lucky some days and unlucky others.

Lancer Knightz also keeps track of radiants and orbs (but not lesser fire crystals or sparks of life). I'm pretty sure that you have more data, but their data come from various difficulty levels. That's why I alluded to their data, rather than your data, in post #23.

Running gates on Tier 2

So far I've been running gates over and over again until i hit Strata 4. Got Loads of advanced though, but no Elite. Difficulty was Elite, and It was a hard time having no sparks and getting pretty wasted.XD

Really? I've gotten around 5 Elite Orbs this past month or so running Stratum 4 (Jelly King).

You could always resort to the old-fashioned way; buying the orbs with energy. The cost of 3 orbs is the exact same amount of energy as was required to craft during Mist Energy. You had to have X energy depending on the star, not orbs.

No Elite Orbs, though? Huh.

Continue on into that S4 area. That is the dominant area in which you should receive elite orbs. Additionally, you can run missions that take you directly to an S4 area (such as JK, RT, and missions nearby those). S3 (where you say you are farming for orbs) currently gives advanced mostly.

If you had visited the wiki rarity page, you should have noticed this.

I've been running elite T2 arcade a bit recently. Got a 2-3 sparks but no orbs though. Usually just did stratum 3 for advanced.
I hear elite orbs are mostly on stratum 4, but haven't found any in RJP/IMF. My brother has, though.

Dropping Eternals in Tier 2?

So after running the Copper Clover gate with Dibsvillve and Disevve, we ran into mostly arenas. Amazingly, I found 8 Eternal Orbs in an arena, so is that where I should grind?

I'm going for Snarbolax armor, if anyone wants to come with me into the Shadow Liar, only probably one more, put your name down. Disevve and Dibsville might help, but I need one more strong player.

Grinding arenas is a good idea, but 8 orbs in one go is extremely lucky, I think. Don't get used to it.
