Changes to RJP

Anyone else notice the changes to RJP? Did I miss an announcement?
The changes I noticed are these:
1. The last room on the first floor; the second wave of monsters does not spawn until the third wave is defeated (nice?)
2. The boss now has an informational plaque

Any other changes worth pointing out?

They added the information plaques to a lot of bosses and locations- though honestly I don't really like them so much, as they don't accurately tell you about that mob. Like Vanaduke- "Attack the mask!" is great and all, but it tells you nothing about the rest of the fight.

Ah I see it on the wiki now. It's Monstrous Profile (codex was my second guess) and I guess they added this to provide "developer tips" like the ones in other single player games.

Nick did mention some time ago they are going to rework Rank missions to allow for further missions past Vanguard rank. Throwing in these Monstrous Codex modules is probably part of the rework.

For your first change, It

For your first change, It hasn't changed. There is about 5 waves in that arena and when you step on the button, 2 waves actually spawn at the same time, some tier 2 jellies and tier 3 ones. To spawn another wave, you have to defeat all the tier 2 jellies or all the tier 3 jellies. which then spawns another 2 waves and then goes the final wave. If you defeat all the tier 2 jellies, and then defeat the wave that spawns after them THEN go on to deafeat the tier 3 jellies spawned from the first 2 waves, the other wave will spawn after you defeated all the tier 3 jellies.

(it might not make sense but i don't really know how to explain it anyway)

It was not normal for me...

what you said is true. Normally after you defeat the smaller enemies (T2), more enemies will spawn. Then after you defeat the bigger enemies (T3), another group of enemies will spawn. There is one more wave after that (the one with the minis and lumbers.).

What happened this time was this: Enemies did not spawn until I had killed all 6 of the original enemies. I know this is true because I normally leave a T3 for last from the original group so that a large batch of mobs is not spawned all at once. Then when the new mobs are dead, I kill the last T3 from the original wave.

So instead of 4 waves, there are now only 3 wave. Correct me if I'm wrong. I will verify that this is a reoccurring event in the next couple days.

Besides the Monstrous Codex I didn't really notice any changes at Jelly King. I guess I just don't pay attention enough.

There's been even more stealth patches, I think.

Anyone who's been to scarlet fortress lately, does this look familiar?

About where I'm standing, two jellies spawned as we approached. After the first wave all the gates but the one to the loot and the one to progress opened up, and as you can see there's two kats that spawned in that upper section.
The interesting part is I've been here before and don't remember any of that happening. Last I had checked the jellies weren't there and the gates stayed shut while you were forced to kill the kats on both sides with fire pots or guns, and the kats in the upper section weren't there either.

EDIT: I knew I was being way too trustful of steam to not do odd stuff when hyperlinked.

I guess I either saw a glitch, or just didn't watch closely or something, because when I went back to RJP and the wave acted as it normally does.

doh ::facepalm::

well... there is the codex... I should graveyard this thread...
