Hi, I'm trying too get 3* armour and weapons and I need more advanced orbs of alchemy. What levels drop them?

Welcome to the forums :D

Advanced orbs drop between depth 9 and depth 17, a mission such as JK-- also known as Sovereign Slime, should serve you nicely for both advanced and elite orbs.

If you need specifically advanced orbs, I would recommend either buying them from the supply depot with your excess crowns or finding them in the arcade in Stratum 3-- just start on any gate in T2 and they'll drop from boxes, or play missions around depths 9 through around 13. After that, you'll be more likely to find elite orbs.

I usually just find elite orbs and buy advanced orbs, as advanced orbs cost a measly 200 CE, compared to 400 CE per set of elite orbs. But finding advanced orbs is always nice- its like getting a free bit of energy from the clockworks. Elite orbs can be found after D13, but before D19.

Try the Dark Sun gate, there is an arena at level 11 which will give you lots of chances for orbs.
The mission Rise or Fall is also good for them as it has an arena at the end.

boxes and elite

The title says it. Get together with your friends and farm arenas on elite. The reason I recommend arenas is the high amount of treasure boxes if you do all of the waves/subarenas. Elite increases chances of rarities, like orbs.

Do it.

no evidence

I have seen no evidence that Elite difficulty increases the rate of rarities. Mowhawk-Warbird, if you have data, then please share. Thanks.

(Of course, Elite difficulty probably doesn't hurt get rarities, and it will definitely help you earn money.)

To add on to his question

where do you find elite orbs?
And would RT serve that purpose?

Read the wiki page "Rarity", to learn where these rarities are found. Cheers.

yep

Yep, that can easily happen. The good news is that those seven runs earned you about 25,000 crowns, with which you can buy 300 energy, which helps you buy some orbs. Have fun.

And I proceeded to waste those crowns on buying advanced orbs at AH

Are you asking how I got the 25,000 figure? See data here. I'm assuming Elite difficulty. On each run you get 2,941 crowns + 700 crowns (for Jelly Gems) + 222 crowns (for sparks). That's 3,863 crowns per run, or 27,041 crowns for 7 runs. Subtract off about 1,500 crowns if you don't enough sparks to sell. Subtract off another 1,400 crowns if you don't have enough Jelly Gems to sell. You end up somewhere between 23,000 and 27,000.

And I proceeded to waste those crowns on buying advanced orbs at AH

From the Supply Depot, you can get 3 Advanced Orbs for 200 energy, which costs about 16,000 these days, right? I don't know what Auction House prices are, but I hope that they're not more than that.

In any event, buying orbs isn't a waste. You're buying an upgrade for your item. In this game, upgrading your items is what you're supposed to spend money on. Cheers.
