What exactly does Heat do exactly(I know it increases DPS for weapons and defence for armour). And is there a max level to Heat?
Heat - in depth effect?
Oh, I thought it increased what I stated since my damage seemed to increase when I leveled up my Heat. Thanks for the reply.
Heat is equivalent to experience points; the more heat your weapon/equipment acquire the more damage/speed/ability will increase. Most weapons or equipment will have special passive abilities unlocked at heat level 5 and 10. For example, a level 5 equip may give you +4 hp, and then at level 10 it will give you +5 hp.
Krakatoahs response left we wanting a little more of an answer, but as it stands, it does contain the answer.
but anyway, basically:
*weapons, armors and shields have a max level of 10.
*heat acquired is shared between all actively leveling weapons -> leveling one item at a time will get it to 10 faster than leveling 6 items.
*when all weapons are maxed, heat does nothing, it just sits there mocking you, in all its swirly perfection.
*when you get revived by another player, at the cost of 1/2 of their life, they get 30% of your heat -> useful if you dont need heat and there is an abundance of HP around.
**(and yes, as you level up your weapons, they get stronger, it is also a prerequisite needed for making stronger weapons. eg a tier 3 gear needs lv5 heat before it can be turned into a tier 4 gear, 4 needs to be lv10 to turn 5..)
Those "Hidden passive abilities" unlocked through heat are the same across all items.
Armor and Helmets of 2* or better quality will give an additional +1 maximum health at Lv5 and above. (No extra bonus on top of this for reaching Lv10.)
All weapons receive Charge Time Reduction: Low at Lv5, and this upgrades to Charge Time Reduction: Medium at Lv10.
Shields get absolutely nothing aside from the defense boost.
If you look closely at the stat bars of your items, you can see a faint blue bar after the bright blue one that represents your item's attack/defense. That faint blue bar represents the stats at maximum Heat level.
You lose 30% of the current stage's heat when you die. If someone else revives you by sharing health, they receive the 30%. If you spend energy to revive yourself, the 30% is simply gone forever.
Leaving the dungeon before the elevator will leave all of that stage's heat behind. Going Solo or getting kicked will force you to leave the stage's heat behind. If you're dead when the rest of the team reaches the elevator, you'll respawn with 3 health at the next stage but the previous stage's heat will ALSO be left behind.
Heat, like Crowns, comes in little, small, tiny amounts in the first half of each tier, and in big, large, great amounts in the second half of the tier (i.e. after the Clockwork Terminal and the Traveling Merchant, Basil).
Thank you for the responses. At least now I know that Heat can be useful. :D
Heat doesnt do anything right now whilst your out and about exploring the clockworks, as for the maximum heat level, its 10 for a single piece of equipment.
