I was making a post on the steam forums about a random topic and posted a picture when a thought occurred to me; is it possible to be resistant to all forms of damage and status? Yes, the picture I linked does this with the exception of sleep (I know how to add sleep to the set, but that would involve me getting stun max UVs which would be too expensive) but I'd like to know how close any of you all has gotten to the perfect set.

So I'd like anyone who want's to participate to post a screenshot of their "Perfect All-Rounded" set here to see who's takes the cake. Please list you equipped helmet/armor with UVs, trinkets and sprite perks. Weapons are irrelevant and shields are optional.

My above posted set includes:
* Lv 10 Divine Veil with pierce medium UV
* Lv 10 Skolver Coat
* Pure White Laurel
* Pure White Laurel
* Hard Headed III Sprite Perk

only three options

There are only three armors that don't have normal: Divine Veil/Mantle, Radiant Silvermail, and Dragon Scale Helm/Mail. If you're going to get all four damage protections, then you must use one of these armors, along with a normal+special piece. Maybe this helps you limit the possibilities? Cheers.

inb4 "bkc/chaos and resistant by dodging everything"

How about
Divine Veil (curse, fire, shock, elemental, shadow)
Royal Jelly Mail (stun, sleep, normal, piercing)
Pure White Laurel x2 (poison)
Cold Blooded III (freeze)

or

Divine Veil (curse, fire, shock, elemental, shadow)
Ice Queen Mail (stun, freeze, normal, piercing)
Purrfect Katnip Pouch x2 (sleep)
Antivenom III (poison)

I make you black, bluue and red all over

Thanks for the posts guys, but I wasn't really asking what combinations would go together; I can figure that out on my own. I actually found both options that Flowchart listed like 5 minutes after I made this thread.

I was asking if any of you guys personally had a set like this, and is so could you show it to me. Kind of like a contest of sorts, since UVs would play a large part in this.

Chaos (or BKC and chaos, or even BKC and Vog/Nameless/Volcanic Bomber) with:

-Acheron Combuster Blitz (something else that fits you-- be it Shivermist, DVS, or a Storm). Pack ASI, then CTR, then damage.
-Two elemental drivers/polaris and another weapon of choice, carbine/umbra, blitz. ASI, then CTR/DMG depending on type of guns
-One to three mist bombs of choice (dont use AoA and shivermist together), nitronome/DBB, (electron/ob. crusher/shards/dr). CTR over damage.

Regarding shields, either SSB, GOS, BTB, or Omega. Don't bother getting UVs. For pet perks, HP boost VI is usually best, but if you need to, use one of the weapon specific asi/ctr perks. Your type of pet is up to you- I won't suggest for you to spend 2kce changing it. Trinkets, like perks, are best used for HP, but use ASI/CTR if you don't want to.

Some tips:
-Use the shield bash on single, difficult enemies like a lone fiend or wolver.
-Dashing is crucial in battle--use it in a pinch! I reccomend placing it near your movement keys.
-If you have a friend bringing an AoA, don't bring a Shivermist. Please.
-Stacking a barrier (preferably shock) with Flame Barrier is better than using them seperately because the defense boost does not go to barrier pickups.
-Got a group of Oilers on fire? Combuster charges work suprisingly well if you didn't bring a shadow weapon.
-DVS over WHB
-Ice Cubes don't drop mist if they die in their thawed form.
-You can dash past Rocket Puppies.
-Don't be chatting if you are alive in the midst of a group of enemies. You can always talk when you die or kill everything.

That should help you. By the way, you won't be needing an all around set for a single level. Even for Mount Krampus.

You might want to re-read the original post. For starters, look at the picture. A knight with 50k Prestige is probably more familiar with this game than you are and probably knows his way around available gear very well. Now here's the actual question asked:
is it possible to be resistant to all forms of damage and status?

Hmm... Let's see.

Black Kat Cowl or Divine veil
Divine mantle
Acheron
DVS
Glacius
Final Flourish
Owlite Shield
Normal resist perk
Seraphinx
That's my all around set.
To be RESISTANT to all statuses is actually impossible but I think this is closest to it.
Divine set
Max Curse Fire and Shock on one piece so (+7 in total for each status with the divine mantle status resist which means immunity)
Max Ice poison and stun on the other (so +4 status resist with each status)
Gift of Autumn trinket, and Pure white laurel so (6 points of poison in total (near immunity) and 8 points of ice resist in total (past immunity)
Sprite perk hardheaded (7 points of resist which is immunity)
However as explained in the post Scirio made; it takes like 18 points for full immunity to a status and all of it's types of way of being inflicted(Eg. traps enemies drones weapons)
Your set is very impressive as it is defensive to all damage types and status but it isn't immune.

Triguard armor with poison and curse uv, jelly helm with shadow uv, any shield, trinkets, and perk.

Don't say I didn't answer the question.

This isnt in the Coliseum, so

This isnt in the Coliseum, so 7 pts doesnt necessarily mean immunity.

Define immunity....to T1 fire pits? To shadow fire? To getting repeatedly skullcrushed by lumbers who spend too much time checking outt girls online?

You try to explain how one arm got so big.

And most rounded set I have is snarbo. Yeah. Im broke..

original poster is not asking about immunity

The original poster is not asking about immunity. He's asking about "resistance" to all damage types and statuses. And what does he mean by "resistance"? Well, just look at his example set. He means about 4 points of resistance on all statuses, and moderate protection against all damage.

Masterreeve, I do not have a set like this, because I cannot perceive a reason to own such a set. That's not an attack on your thread, though. It's better than most threads around here. :)

I know what he is asking...

I just want to say the most resistant status wise. Because damage type defense is pretty self explanatory. A set with immunity to a few status things and high defense to all statuses is really helpful. I think this should be a "If you could only have one set of armor of weapons to bring everywhere what would it be?" thread.

I make you black, bluue and red all over

Because most of you (besides Bopp) don't seem to understand the point of this thread, let me try to clarify.

As Krakob stated, I am very well versed in the game and know my way around just about every armor/helmet combo as I have about 70% of all gear in the game if not more. Been playing the game since late 2011. So no, I am not asking for you guys to give me a set example that will be immune to everything as I already know that is quite impossible. What I AM asking is for you to show your OWN set with as close to perfection as possible. It's supposed to be a part contest/bragging rights thing to see who has the most rounded out gear set, so just listing something with max UVs without proof that you have it would be pointless. And since I'm only taking about defense and stat resistance, there is no reason for anyone to list a weapon, or even a shield for that matter.

And on a side note, the set of divine veil/skolver coat I listed was actually a costume set I made, and I never actually wore it in real combat besides in T2/T3 clockworks where I never intended to get hit anyway. I didn't realize it had all those rounded out stats until after I made the set.

Well, I found one of the perfect sets.

It gave me good defense against everything but sleep. It didn't even have a single UV. I was about to post it, but then you said " It's supposed to be a part contest/bragging rights thing to see who has the most rounded out gear set". Which is something I for one don't participate in.

All well.

Ok so I kinda answered the question and kinda didn't.

Well I put my planned set that I would bring everywhere and something completely off topic.

UVs = OP

I've thought about this before, here's what I think(UVs included)

Option 1

Helm |Divine Veil(UV Stun MAX Poison MAX Freeze MAX) <+6 Stun +6 Poison +6 Freeze +6 Curse +6 Shock +6 Fire>
Armor |Divine Mantle(UV Stun MAX Poison MAX Freeze MAX) <+6 Stun +6 Poison +6 Freeze +6 Curse +6 Shock +6 Fire>
Trinket |Royal Jelly Band(Piercing Defense High) <+3 Piercing Defense>
Trinket |Royal Jelly Band(Piercing Defense High) <+3 Piercing Defense>
Sprite Perk |Arcane Shield III(Elemental Defense High) <+3 Elemental Defense>

Add it all up: Stun, Poison, Freeze, Curse, Fire, Shock, Piercing Defense MAXED | Elemental (High+0.5) | No Normal Defense
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Option 2

Helm |Divine Veil(UV Freeze MAX Poison MAX Normal MAX) <+6 Normal Defense +6 Poison +6 Freeze +6 Curse +6 Shock +6 Fire>
Armor |Royal Jelly Mail(UV Freeze MAX Poison MAX Piercing MAX) <+6 Piercing Defense +6 Poison +6 Freeze +6 Curse +6 Shock +6 Fire>
Trinket |Purrfect Katnip Pouch(Sleep High) <+3 Sleep>
Trinket |Purrfect Katnip Pouch(Sleep High) <+3 Sleep>
Sprite Perk |Arcane Shield III(Elemental High) <+3 Elemental>

Add it all up: Normal Defense, Piercing Defense, Poison, Freeze, Curse, Shock, Fire, and Sleep MAXED | Elemental Defense (High+0.5)
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Was this helpful? I hope it was because I dont think you can get all that without UVs.

not for defensive

That's how it works for offensive abilities, but not for defensive abilities. It's all explained at the wiki page that I linked. No big deal. Cheers.

mouse over the item

Move your mouse pointer over the item, and a display will pop up.

Also, open your Character screen (I forget the hotkey, but it's one of the menus in one of the corners of your screen) to inspect yourself. Then you can see the total effect of all of your defenses, offensive bonuses, etc.

Divine veil with MAX!

Divine veil with MAX! shock+fire+poison
Ice Queen Mail with MAX! freeze+stun+poison
Healthy VI perk
two penta heart trinkets
Grey owlite shield with MAX! pierce+shadow+freeze

That's armour and shield protection from all damage types, +8 to all common statuses and +4 to curse, +18 health and shield protection from the three most dangerous status types.

Unfortunately +8 status doesn't give weak status immunity so that's a bit crap, the +4 curse isn't enough to be super-effective, and the shield UVs aren't all that effective either. It's close to being a face-roll loadout but just not quite. To get immunity from status you'd have to switch out some health bonuses depending on the floor you're running.

?!?! :o

For a all round set not including status resistances, how about
*Full Divine set
*2 Royal Jelly Bands
*Piercing Defense sprite perk
*And possibly sprite UVs
That would work for all enemies besides lumber.
Or
*Full Dragon Scale Set
*2 Dread Skelly Charms
*Shadow Defence Sprite Perk
*Possibly Shadow Defence UVs
That would be a second set for all types of defence with no normal defence
:o

All ridiculousness will break loose.

I find it hilarious how people are still posting recommended all round sets when Masterreeve is clearly saying "I was asking if any of you guys personally had a set like this, and is so could you show it to me." That means your own set, not a recommended one. I'm sorry if 8 come off rude, things like that just really urk me.
