Hey guys.
so I was going through youtube videos and there was this one video from a youtuber named " Sullivan situation" who's in game name is wigzop. He made a video of how he got banned and how he went through the trouble of emailing OOO . He brought up several points about how they ban you on how you looked in their eyes and not due to evidence and brought up points about how OOO fairly doesnt care about much of what we complain about , and made me kind of realize how much of a big community this is for such lazy people. Theyre getting a bit pver their head with how to ban and why to ban. After watching his video my opinion on ooo completely changed and I dont know why OOO can just not care about the concern of one of their valuable players. And banning someone over unworldly powers? What the hell? Youre now restricting of how people think, or even if their joking. And id theyre joking what do you care? Im not gonna lie, I payed money for energy in this game, and if i ever got banned for something as stupid as this I would do the same thing this guy did. Make a video about how careless and lazy OOO is.
and before you admins send a message to my client asking if I understand to not do this again
im gonna save myself and say " sure "
Best wishes.

I think its more around the Game Moderator's personal opinion and actions since the dev staff does have power but they are too busy with "developing" to do any behaviour policing. Which probably means they put their trust into other people who can moderate effectively and fairly which is apparently beginning to waver. Essentially, the moderators who don't bother looking up evidence for the legitimacy of the claim require lecturing. The video being referred to.

It is ridiculously demanding being a game manager, some of the GMs merely skim through all the reports being lodged every minute, so each action they did is mildly justified. I noticed that they are bringing in GMs from Puzzle Pirates to manage SK too, so some GMs may be slightly unfamiliar.

The community is also another problem. Scamming is so common, almost everyone is well aware and will have no tolerance for any mild attempt to scam at all.

From what I've seen, there was no intent of scam, it is just an misunderstood deal, which is not seen as trickery in other way. A scam is when someone, with intent, mislead another person with false information, in order to obtain benefit in the suffering of the other. The bargain was well established, there was, in no way, any "scam" being mentioned.

Bad luck to wigzop, just wait patiently, don't cause any more trouble and it'll be fine.

Example, if I say "WTB Chapeau of the Moonstone for 10kcr", am I scamming or making an undeniably unfair offer?

Just because something doesn't mean anything to a certain person doesn't mean it doesn't mean anything to anyone else in the world. I've heard the expression "hands of gold" before, it means someone is extremely (one might say unnaturally) lucky or skillful with things they lay their hands on. A reference to King Midas's mythical power of turning everything he touched into gold.

While I personally do not agree with making assumptions about player actions (unless the player promised something he did not have), his "deal" still sounds far too good to not be a trap. What does he have to gain from it? The pleasure of unboxing? I wouldn't touch that with a 50yd stick.

Of course, this is all assuming everything he says is completely true, and he's not hiding any bits of the story that would have sealed his coffin. His story lacks consistency, for one - if he, in his own words, "did not have much money", where's the logic in giving away that money as well as everything in the box? Wouldn't be the first time someone stirred up drama because they need someone to pay them attention... it is, in fact, not very uncommon for many YouTubers nowadays.

Wigzop is a well-known, well-respected merchant in the community. Sad to see trolling in trade chat=scamming these days. Also very sad to see that someone actually reported him; the last time I actually reported someone was years ago for some silly reason. It seems as though the actual scammers run rampant and are not punished while hard-working, paying Vanguards take the blows between the legs.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

sorry, but I would have banned him too. you cannot say "give me the box and I'll open it for you" and expect people to really see you as someone who doesn't want a box for free. as he didn't mention it was a joke, and said he had hands of gold which is a mild attempt to convincing people to actually give you a box, I would have considered him a first time scammer and banned him for the minimum possible time.

if you know the reasons why you would be banned for a behaviour, avoid them. say it's a joke and that you don't want to get banned, not to one person, but in trade chat. till there is the possibility that you can be a scammer, you might as well be one.

If I had seen Wigzop's offer, I would have immediately thought, "Sounds like a big ol' scam to me!" regardless of how well-known of a merchant they are, and just left it at that. No matter how much you can explain that situation, at face value it looks like a scam, and other players felt the need to report it.

On the other hand, it's no surprise that OOO has schizophrenic tendencies when it comes to their ban policies. You might get laid down with the permanent ban hammer for letting a mild curse word slip out in a casual chat, but you might get nothing more than a waggle of the finger if you tell someone to commit suicide.

As stupid as it may seem, it's nothing new.

anyway im not asking for your guys' opinions . Which is what most of you guys are giving me.
im asking why OOO would do a half butt job with how they check chat logs and actually evidence.
its kind of irritating because I dont ever want to troll in game and get banned for it.

I thought one of the points in the terms of service states not to scam. Anyway it's always good to have good judgement. Even if you have not read the tos for this (or any other game), at least you can seperate right from wrong.
