What if OOO made an event twice a year, where they allow people to make ideas armors and trinkets, then guns swords and bombs (And from Hexyles thread it is true there should be more enemies so enemies too maybe) ? They have to make models and mechanics for them, and then OOO decides which one they like the most or make people take a vote(if OOO is arguing with eachother about it.) Then, the items(or enemy) becomes real. This means eventually we will have a huge plethora of weapons, armor, trinkets and enemies. Which could SEEM bad, but it would appeal to end-game players and appeal to new players.

What if

What if I told you that thinking up original and balanced weapon designs is hard?

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

if they need monsters, weapons and such, they can refer to node 53120, or to many other threads that have already been suggested. and "that enemy becomes real" doesn't happen like that.

This sounds like the Steam workshop.

^ What's that? I don't use steam.

@Thunder-The-Bright Yes, but you would have to know, that they would be VERY strict about this. They would look at opinions of others very carefully, and turn down ideas to change them. One good point against an idea would be enough to stop it from happening.
@Sandwich-Potato I know that. But, no matter how hard it is, at least one good idea will be made because of people like Zeddy. #Zeddyrocks

And those few good ideas will drown among the poor ones around it.

However, those good ideas will primarily be judged by OOO, so the community's opinion is a last-resort if they need to make a decision.

And everyone has their own

And everyone has their own opinion of if OOO actually listens to our ideas, and if they don't implement something that the "majority" of the community supports/wants then people will complain about it being OOO's decision and not the community's. Blah blah blah.

I mean the good ideas might be overlooked among the many lower quality ones.

@Fezhor Serious-Boltmaker made a thread like that, but it didn't do well, because the part of the community that understands balance better is smaller than the other part of the community so it would be bad.
@Sandwich-Petater No. They would all be looked at, but people would only have a certain time frame within they make the idea, to stop huge clutter.

Ardent and their alt have strange philosophies

They assume Hollows is Fehzor. It threw me off for a bit too, but hey, people are stubborn. :/

@Sandwich-Potato

What if I told you that original design is bad enough and balance complaints are even worse?

Seerusly. I'm on the verge of saying something mean and getting banned for it e.e

Actually, a very large portion of the things that OOO adds into the game come directly or largely in part from the forums.

For instance- battle sprites, arcade redux, removal of energy system, eyes/height modes and auction house all came from the suggestions forums. The real issue is slow implementation.
