Features : You gather up in a group of 6-8 players.

You enter the arena.

There are [10] total rounds, with enemies. There will be hordes of enemies until round [5] , the mini boss. Hordes of enemies continue afterwards until [10] , the main boss. Always random. Random enemies + bosses. Equip wisely!

Questions? Read below for additions.

Yes indeed

1. Can you change your loadouts?
2. Will there be traps (status grates, spike pads...)?
3. Do you revive like in the clockworks or similar to lockdown?
4. Will there be drops (any, all)?
5. Is gameplay exactly like a clockworks arena, or will there be classes, like lockdown?
6. What are the rewards?
7. Will the bosses and mini bosses spawn with other enemies (like a normal boss battle)?
8. This will be separated by gear, right (tiers 1,2,3)?
9. How long will each full game take, approximately?
10. How many enemies per round approximately?

Good idea. Suggested a lot of times before though.

But I'd say yes. Don't feel obligated to listen to this since this is YOUR thread not mine, but, I think that:
-You should be able to change weapons after each wave, and each wave should say which class is coming next. (kind of like the way the gauntlet works with the icons and stuff.
-There should be a mode(customized lobby) for it where you can have lockdown classes.
-It should be VERY hard, or nothing drops. Because if it is easy and loot drops in it, then it is just an extremely easy to get crowns.
-Full health every round.
-The time should stay the same but the amount of enemies last longer.
-Maybe something like an energy reactor that you protect so there is a sense of orginization. The enemies attack you, but they will go for the reactor if it sees you are busy, or not attacking it.(That might be hard, because the AI will have to be tweaked.)
-Maybe have a customized lobby deciding on how you revive. Lockdown way(It takes a time to revive, but that time gets bigger everytime you die)r clockworks way(you revive at the end of the wave)

I agree

Yes. Great job of pulling that together, Ardent. Still, what are the rewards going to be? Krogmo coins? Cr? CE? All three?
Still needs work and suggestions to work, though. Make it very hard. Lots of turrets maybe? Definitely traps.

Rewards would suit crowns, krogmo coins, bomb heads. Although, the crown reward rate should increase.

About the energy reactor-protection thing Ardent, that could randomly spawn in random waves (except bosses).

~Will there be traps (status grates, spike pads...)?

Yes, randomly throughout (except boss).

~Will the bosses and mini bosses spawn with other enemies (like a normal boss battle)?

During mini bosses, possible chance. Main boss may summon enemies.

~ This will be separated by gear, right (tiers 1,2,3)?

Definitely!

~How long will each full game take, approximately?

Timer goes for [12:00] minutes.

~How many enemies per round approximately?

About 20-30? Not sure... But the number depends on the enemy class.

Hmm...

-Well, 8 minutes seems a bit too short at 20 waves this thing is bound to take a long time.
-What about the lockdown classes? I would immediately be hooked on this game, and same with many others if this was allowed.
-How big are the maps? They will have to be at least 1.5x the size of a lockdown map, but less twists and turns, kind of like garden maybe.
-Are traps set forever, or do they change? I think they should work like this: The first wave has normal spikes set in certain places. Then, as the type and element of the enemy changes so do the spikes. So, the spikes will change into a grate or stun spikes, however they will not change location. But size maybe.
-Are pet's allowed? (If they are, they should be in a customized lobby like lockdown abilities. I don't think it would be fair to be able to have them both in the together only one or the other though. I mean how OP would a striker be with Hexing haze, or a recon with fire barrier?)

A summary of answers Ardent.

With 6-8 players, 8 minutes is enough. Plus, you're not required to finish all 20 to get rewards. Lockdown classes, maybe not. I was thinking about the size of Vanaduke's room. Traps change every wave. After you finish a wave, the screen turns white, then a 3, 2, 1 counter appears. The trap locations will randomly differ. And, pets, nope. This is about your skill. Overuse of pet use would result in overpowering results.

Hope that answered your questions.

8 minutes is an elite tier 3 arena

8 minutes for twenty waves, no. Ten waves maybe, but your team would need to be taking down each wave in under a minute on average then. I'd say endless waves for 8 minutes, then a boss would appear. After defeating a boss, you could collect your rewards, or battle on. Three bosses would be chosen, and they would include danger mission bosses and shadow lair bosses (maybe have a small chance of a swarm based arena for the final arena?). Rewards at the end would consist of a room with 8, 18, and 38 boxes respectfully. Mostly green boxes, or special "arena" boxes (think grinchlin assault) and enemies would not drop loot. Games would last at least 24 minutes under this system, and more time for bosses. With that in mind, running missions or the arcade would still bring in more money, but this would bring in special rewards and a challenge.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

6-8 players nitrome spam. the end.
I disagree on the "you know what's coming" and "change your arsenal" things. you can bring 2 weapons, so you can be prepared for anything.

main boss and mini boss: what are they exactly?
8 mins for 20 waves goes for 24 secs per wave. seems a bit too little. especially for 20-30 spawners.

Okay okay. 12 minutes, 10 waves. Fair enough?

Mini boss at wave 5, main boss at wave 10.

A mini boss is a danger mission boss. Main boss is a boss which gives tokens in the Clockworks (they don't drop anything in the coliseum.

Nitrome spam? As if. Flying greavers, devilites, and new enemies, bosses. Nitrome will not work.

Greaver attacks! But it failed because it was hit by a Nitronome in the face. And then 5 more. And then another one. It's dead now.

Devilite used throw! But it failed because yada yada. Devilite Overtimer used melee attack! But it was pushed off the map from 8 Nitronomes in its face!

New enemies used attack! But they were roflstomped by trolling with Nitronome knockback!

Still, a good concept.

8 Nitronomes. Like 2000 damage with good sets if they camp in a corner. Derrrrrrrrp.

As I said, waves get much

As I said, waves get much more difficult as they progress. Each enemy with 15k hp? Seems fine. With greater speed, Knockback-resistant, strong damaging enemies ... You really think nitrome is all?

After seeing Zeddy and the rest of Shard Squad, I KNOW Nitronome can be all. In the end, it'll boil down to someone spamming a Freeze/Stun bomb, and everyone else spamming Brandishes or Alchemers or Blitzes.

Well, it CAN get so difficult

Well, it CAN get so difficult it might be close to impossible. This is what I want.

Now, new questions regarding this please! Let's not end up talking about stats.

my 2 cents

+1... great idea...

I would challenge Zeddy on a 1v1 score matchup full bomber to see how well I am against the famous Zeddy ^ ^

Nitronome knockback does all the work btw, I used to stand in corner of T3 arenas as a Mad Bomber (remember back in ye olde days when there was no missions nor buffed chaos? pepperidge farm remember) and rarely move to dodge, usually happens on fiend or beast type arenas... If mobs become immune to knockback then there is really no point in getting Nitronome...

I would love to hear more questions (how to get points etc.)

Moar Questions (How to get points, etc)

BUT FIRST, I like the idea of having a new coliseum game because Lockdown is kinda boring, it seemed like everyone has Damage bonus vs Ecnalite: Max on their weapons, and about the Blast Network... Eh... Does it even exist anymore?

So you've earned a +UNO so far but I have some questions.

- Can't you play solo? >_> I'm sure a lot of knights would want that...
- How do we earn points?
- If we DO earn points, will we be ranked according to the highest number of points earned?
- A little common sense here but - if we DO get ranked, will the highest receive the most valuable rewards?
- Will there be heat drops? Crown drops seems okay but it'll definitely ruin the purpose of the clockworks, also it'll ruin the entrance fee---
- How much is the entrance fee?
- CAn I havz c00kies? :3

Bump this thread to kingdom come.

Suggestions

500 crown entry fee, tier 1 can only do 10 waves, mini-bosses will be Trojans, tier 2 and 3 gets 20 and 30 waves respectively with normal bosses and such
If they don't drop anything it will be pointless, if they drop things like normal clockworks, it will be to easy
so, as a middleground, what if they dropped a token every wave depending on how well you have done?
for example, if only 1 dies then you get 7 tokens, if 7 die, you get 1, if no one dies but you all took heavy damage (everyones below 25% health) you get 8 tokens, if less than 6 of you have taken heavy damage you get 9, if everyone has taken some or no damage you get 10
as a bonus for doing incredibly well, you get 15 if no one takes any damage at all

These tokens would be spent on materials, crowns and minerals
0* materials would be 1 token
1* would be 2 tokens
2* are 4
3* are 8
4* 16
5* are... wait for it... can you guess it?... 35 tokens

crown - token rate would be 50 crowns to the token, this way people can still profit

Minerals - 5 tokens for 3

Minerals would work on a scale of what you deposited during the game, sorta to earn back for the people who do it
Example: you deposit mostly Valestone, Valestone price is reduced but the others are raised

if you only have 7 or less players you would cap at 10 for a flawless victory

also you could deposit minerals to influence what set of enemies and traps are coming, you can change gear after every mini-boss

Basil would be their in the lobby and sell you things like Sentry mecha knights, artillery and recon flares

after you beat 10 waves (boss + miniboss included) you will be in krogmos prize room or a treasure vault
Krogmo room - Mostly tokens and if you bribed him with tokens you may earn a bombsuit costume as a counterpart to the bombhead, or maybe even wolvermasks
Treasure Vault - Awarded with more crowns and the boxes can contain materials and items to use in the next waves

I actually like this Arena/Coliseum/Raid idea =3
