It would be a good idea to stick this in the Wiki somewhere.

After Rock Salt Bomb there should be an Ionized Salt Bomb 4* though I don't know of the 5*.
Also I don't see the Nitronome 5* after the Master Blast Bomb (So this has 3 branches).
Magic set has the Divine set as an alternate 5* to the Chaos set.
For the Owlite shields, the 4* is Wise Owlite then the 5* is the Grey Owlite I think.

Otherwise I think you got most of them. Good job.

EDIT: Fiery Vaporizer 5* is Ash of Agni.
Toxic Vaporizer 5* is Venom Veiler.
Deconstructor starts after the Blast Bomb and becomes the Heavy Deconstructor.

Credits to the wiki ~_~

Yay

Updated. It will probably get to the wiki after we finish the list.

Oh yea, I forgot in the Magic

Oh yea, I forgot in the Magic set, the 3* is the Elemental set.

Oh and the Gunslinger 3* set goes to Sunset 4* set then Deadshot or Justifier 5* sets.

Boosted plate set has the Plate 2* set before it.

One last thing before I stop editing =0 Graviton Bomb starts at 4* (super convenient =P) and goes to the Graviton Vortex 5*.

It is indeed a useful

It is indeed a useful utility. I lament that the only thing I can add is that the addition of the star-rating would also be a useful bit of data. This way people might also know what places they'd have a decent chance at acquiring a recipe.

updates :D keep up the good work!

armor/helm: Heavy Demo >> Bombastic Demo (5*).
handgun: Mega Magnus >> Callahan (5*).
shield: Defender >> Great Defender >> Mighty Defender >> Aegis (5*).

Scarlet Shield isn't mentioned in the list. It doesn't require another shield to craft and isn't known to be required in crafting any other shield.

Updated~

Star ratings might be added when we wikify this somehow.

I was thinking of making it into a table of sorts, divided by stars.
But I would have to add some arrows or something to make it clearer, dunno.
I need a master template maker.

I haven't added items which are made into nothing, maybe I should.

Anyone knows about the wolver things? Nameless hat?

Nameless hat is in the

Nameless hat is in the gunslinger line and comes after the Sunset Stetson. I think I've got the full line of Wolver hats. I'll check.

Wolver Stuff

Wolver Cap - Dusker Cap - Ash Tail Cap - and I don't have the Vog Cub Cap recipe but I do have the Vog Cub Coat recipe and it comes after the Ash Tail Coat, so I'd guess that all follows the same pattern.

Yep

Yeah, I put helms/armors together since they follow the same pattern and require the same materials most of the time.
Thanks for the info, updated~

Does anyone know what the Iron Slug is?

@Pupu

Iron slug is the alternative 5* of magnus line, it deals normal dmg instead of piercing.

Pretty much the red Callahan.

There's a 5* Skolver Coat,

There's a 5* Skolver Coat, which appears to be in the wolver line. (I've been trying to sell the recipe, so didn't learn it myself- it's inventory clutter)

We recently found a new set of 5* gear in the gunslinger line: the Shadowsun Stetson and Slicker. (info added to the wiki pages)

There's a Grey Feather mantle recipe in my inventory as well- seems to be a 5* magic gear line item. (again, recipe unlearned so I can sell it)

For displaying the upgrade tree, I've always liked the simple "unit tree" in Battle for Wesnoth: http://units.wesnoth.org/1.8/C/mainline.html

I can confirm that the Grey Feather Mantle is indeed in the Magic Cloak line.

Hm

Well, seems like we have everything.

We should probably start moving this to the wiki then.
Any volunteers?
What should the page be named?
We should leave a link in /crafting probably

Template?
So far the only suggestion is boxes/tables that divide, something like

 __ __ __
|3*|4*|5*|
|  |__|__|
|  |4*|5*|
|  |  |__|
|  |  |5*|

Under plate armor, the wiki

Under plate armor, the wiki helmets page has an entry for "ironmight plate helm". Can anyone confirm/disprove the existence of this recipe? (and if you do have the recipe, can you add it to the wiki?)

Anyway, this is a great compilation. I'm not sure to put it, but might I suggest it as an eventual companion to the (woefully incomplete and inconsistently organized) recipes page?

Per formatting, the column format has the major advantage of lining up all items by similar star level. The downside, of course, is that the width might not be compatible with the current wiki wrapper. (not to mention that wiki tables can be a royal pain to code) I'm not sure what the solution would be.

Ironmight Plate Helm

I ignored it because I was going for the Ancient Plate set, but I have indeed seen the Ironmight Plate Helm Recipe among Basil's wares.

So I don't think there is any

So I don't think there is any way to get around the sorting function not working with rowspans where a cell takes more than one row.

There are two options:

1. Have it be unsortable.
2. Do the full alchemy path for each row.

I kind of lean toward 2 so that people can use sort and find the item they're looking for. Thoughts?

For headers I'd do 6 columns, by star rating from 0-5. Unless you think all the types of items should be in one huge table, then I'd have a header for item type.
