You can get "First Steps"
You can get "First Steps" using an new alt knight on your current account. Just get to the Rescue Camp. Achievements are account bound, not knight bound.

BTW can get the fist steps with any character on your acct, so if you are like me and had a guy sitting around rescue camp, made it real easy.

They will release an update inevitably that backdates/updates your achievements for past accomplishments.
Given what we have seen with patch implementation vs bugs, it makes more sense to slowly move in new ideas. If they put in the achievement system as is, and it bugs something else, they can look at the as is system and see what happens. If they put in an achievement system with 10x as much content, there are 10x the chances for bugs, and 10x the causes of the bugs to check.
^that is all just a guess, i'm not a programmer, but at least superficially it makes sense and makes me feel like they have a plan...last thing i need is a fully fleshed out achievement system and another 2nd week of, 'oh crap the party system doesn't work anymore' lol.
