I'm seeing some people having major trouble with the Kat mobs in T3. Indeed they are way more tricky than T2 ones.
There are many ways to deal with them. Those who uses the calibur line can try this:

the key is to release the charged attack the moment they blink. the distance matters, too close its not gonna work, too far might not arrive you yet. so give it a try and get used to a mid-range that you can adapt to.

hah thats why i've deserted

hah thats why i've deserted my DA and have been sticking with Levi.

Recently figured that storm driver charge also works nicely on kat mobs, you could try that out too =P, especially in the part where u toss flasks.

If I didn't have 250ms+ ping,

If I didn't have 250ms+ ping, and constant lagspikes, this could be a really neat strategy. Thought about it before, but it simply doesn't work for me.

Great job, anyway!

More people need to figure out that timing is important against those types of mobs.

phantoms, a better way could

phantoms, a better way could be using a shivermist then charge them one by one.

with a skolver piece and a maxed heat leviathan, it takes a full charge + 2-3 normal attacks to kill a t3 phantom in full party.

this is especially useful when your party's all dead and there are 4 phantoms after you. i normally lay 2 shivermists in that case and then charge and kill them one by one

Sawa0122, you're my hero!

Sawa0122, I've seen all your videos on the firestorm citadel and I'm awe-inspired, you sir are a TRUE professional Spiral knights player. I'm only a tier 2 player and you and Fallout were the biggest inspirations for me to become a bomber. Thank you sir, Thank you. You put those annoying, cookie cut, Vog-cub wearing, divine-avenger bragging twats in their place!

I pray you keep playing sir, you truly are a symbol of innovative play styles.
peace and love, Sparkster

I do alright against the T3

I do alright against the T3 ghosties on their own, but I always get destroyed by ghosties mixed with devlites. In the black falcon gate (I think) that's up right now, there are sinful steps levels right after the T3 terminal -- and they stick you in confined spaces that spawn a load of ghosts along with a pile of devlites and they just eat me alive.

Anyone have some advice for those situations ? The calibur charge tactic won't work since I'm getting crap tossed me all the time by the devlites. I might normally try to run around and gun down the devlites in that situation (slow, but effective), but the ghosts get all up in my craw and bite me (or create bullet hell in my face).

Help me SK oh SK masters, you're my only hope!

-those- rooms...

I usually turtle around under my shield a lot, and attack with levi + shield cancel or with elemental alchemer + shield cancel, depending on the range the bad guys are from me, and I kill the kats before the devilites. Kats shoot a 3-way shot, devilites throw a one-way throw. You need to unshield and run around a bit to not get trapped, of course, and the kats triple-shot is more of a pain than the devilites single throw at times like that.

Those rooms are also ones in which killing the angry devilites first, then the yesmen, then the pit bosses is a better strategy than killing the pitbosses first and promoting the angry ones into harmlessness. There's just not enough room to beat on the pitbosses with anything resembling safety.
