I can hear the gavel already

Might take a while to get enough entries, but this community is rather... decent at showing up when free stuff is involved.

I'll reserve this spot in case I feel like participating in this event. Have fun everyone!

I had come to the level.....

I had come to the level..... The final battle with snarbolax. As I entered the narrow path he watched me on his little hill that I could not reach, then moments later he disappeared underground. All geared up I healed my health and went on the button that starts the fight. There it was the glorious SNARBOLAX. The black wolf roared in rage as if I had woke him up from his sleep. SLASH! One direct hit , but then I realized he had a shield that protected him . I soon discovered that the bell makes him in a stun status that is when I strike. He went underground as the spikes on his back popped out they took a good deal of my health and I watched as the bars flew out. Soon he grew tired of long range and attacked me head-on as he tried to bite me I struck the bell . As I said he turned bright yellow I charged a caliber that sent him flying but turned him black again. I checked and sure enough his health had lowered bout 1/5th of his hp. Snarbolax attacked me head-on right after too but this time I failed to dodge and as he cornered me , there I was on the floor.....dead. He roared triumphantly in victory. But..... it was not over, my emergency revive had been summoned and was now activating. I gave him a smirk as I shielded and defended myself against his next tail spike attack. I struck the bell just on time while he was underground and out he came bright yellow. I managed to freeze him with a charge shot then swipe an attack with a flourish. He now had 1 touch left and I was dancing in joy. But as I let myself be distracted he popped out infront of me and stood up on hind legs... I was stunned and my happiness had soon faded for I was again on the ground....dead. Snarbolax had overcame me and truly was a guardian of his brothers. I should not have underestimated him. It was a glorious sight as he spun and threw some more spikes and disappeared underground.... I had lost the battle and he had won.

Lockdown match

I raced, feeling the wind on my cheek. Out of nowhere, something hit me. Something fast and powerful. Blood splattered the tiles of the ramparts. Agony, pure agony. I had never done this before. I struck back, biting out with my Grand flourish. My sword hit its mark, with the loud thwack of the target being impaled. A gun clicked behind me. Before blacking out, I saw a shady figure with a Callahan pointed at me. "BANG." He said. (Sorry about stealing your trademark, Sintag.)

You know me, Mak

The excerpt...

This was a year or two ago, but I suppose it'll suffice. It isn't the best fight scene I've done, and it's full of flaws, but...oh blithering bloody hells, here it is :

Cast :

Thinslayer's Finder : A Valkyrie tainted by the Swarm to serve as one of its most powerful agents. Some of her body parts are replaced to make even her body a weapon.

Vinnydime's Vin : One of the Order's top Inquisitors, who is in a free-for-all tug of war between Vog, the Swarm, and the madness and insanity known as the Beast.

Seatus's Seatus : A Snarbolax with special abilities granted to him through extended exposure to the pure energy at Sanctuary. He can regulate the Beast within Vin and himself.

Artifice's Artif : A stand-alone mercenary who sells his services many times to Vin.

Aekyuri's Dr. Eras : A doctor who lost her legs in the crash, she is Vin's close friend and personal physician. She "walks" with her two plastic prosthetic legs. She's also researching about his conditions on the side, though it's hard to make any scientific heads or tails about it.

~~~
Around this time of year, the Clockworks was near-frozen with ice. There was a constant grinding sound that sounded like screeching metal, likely a side-effect of the cold. In the Crossroads to the Shadow Lairs, snow had blanketed the whole steel platform, and the lights flickered. This time, only one staff member was tending to the elevators. It was a young man, or at least he appeared to be, and he was humming "Amazing Grace". In the distance, an elevator came down, with three figures.
"Well, well, well," said the young man, activating his Geo Knight gear. It was a Skolver Coat accompanied by a Divine Veil, with a merry red personal color.
"What are you still doing here?" one of the figures inquired, his steel-blue and crimson eyes glowing from inside the Grey Feather cowl.
"I don't believe in time for rest," explained the Geo Knight. He pulled out a dossier and started tapping on it. "Three people, who's names are?"
"Inquisitor Vin," said the hooded figure, "Corporal Artif, and Dr. Eras."
"Got it," said the Geo Knight, finishing his report. "Where to?"
"Just a visit to Sanctuary," explained Vin. "Have errands to do before the holiday season goes full-blown."
The Geo Knight tipped his hood as a greeting, and returned to his spot.
Vin materialized a massive Shadow Key from his inventory, and slid it into the lock. A wave of pink light spread through the many black wires, and the rails slid down the elevator. The felt even colder than the usual frost that was Winterfest, it was the menacing cold of the Shadow Lair. Before anyone stepped on the elevator, Vin held his left hand out, and rolled up the sleeve. There was a tatoo on his arm, an eye, also accompanied by tattoos of black pixels.
"Da mihi Sanctuarii," Vin whispered. The tatoo on his arm glowed a bright pink, and the pixels seemed to grow. The other two Knights gasped, but otherwise kept silent. Soon, the Swarm had taken up the entirety of Vin's left arm, and then leaped onto the elevator. The pixels then slid into the screen, which flickered into a white tree. The Inquisitor grinned at his friends, and stepped onto the elevator, which was festering with The Swarm.
"I-is that e-even safe?!" Eras shouted.
"Totally fine with me on board," Vin replied.
Artif shrugged, and calmly stepped onto platform. The Swarm immediately wrapped around his foot, but then receded within the next few seconds. Eras took her turn, and gingerly placed her prosthetic foot onto the platform. No reaction. The doctor slowly leaned forward, and placed her next foot on. The Swarm, this time, quickly slid up her legs and into her stubs, and then subsided. However, a chilling feel crawled up her spine.
"What did it just do?" Eras asked, in an almost shrill voice. The chilling waves came again and again, causing the doctor to get goosebumps.
"The Swarm wants to know it's friends' friends," Vin explained, giggling a bit. Eras sighed, and punched the [DOWN] button.
~~~

As the elevator smoothly rode down the shaft, Vin's Swarm tatoo begun to fade. It gradually receded back into its original shape, and ceased its movements. The air around them became brighter and brighter, until it was the pristine white that only the Sanctuary could have. Below the elevator was a massive island, thrice the size of other Sanctuaries, with a massive pool in the center.

At the edge of the pool, a fourth being registered into the party: Seatus.

As his figure could be seen clearer, Vin realized Seatus was in a humanoid state, his bare legs hanging down in the water. Seatus, his eyes suddenly wide-eyed and fearful, ducked his head. A thorn clipped his head, cutting off a few strands of hair. From above, another figure floated mid-air. It was the same one from before, the woman who had attacked Vin.

Vin cursed as he unsheathed his blade, and hopped out of the platform. He landed on the Valkyrie, missing a downward slash by a few inches, and engaged in a wrestle with the being as his blade was slapped aside. He used his weight to grab at her leg, and tugged, hoping to pop the thigh from the socket. However, her tail slashed at his arms, until a solidly placed strike caused him to lose his grip. The Inquisitor fell into the soft grass, growling this time. He flung a string of thorns at the Valkyrie, who easily deflected it with the flapping of her wings. However, she turned and took on a charged round from Eras's Master Blaster, knocking the Valkyrie effectively to the floor.

Artif was already down on the floor, apparently having slid off while no one was looking. As the Valkyrie had fallen, he brought his massive Triglav down, combining the force of gravity with his own. The result : a massive dust cloud. When the smoke had cleared, the Valkyrie, her armor cracked, had barely been able to roll out of the way. She was breathing heavily, but quickly kicked off, back into the air. Suddenly, the glow of her Swarm-scar began to shine brighter. Vin's tatoo reactivated, and started to wrap around his left arm.

"Artif!" Vin called out, now rushing to the waters of the Sanctuary, "make sure I stay in the water!"

The small mercenary ran up to Vin, and pushed him into the pool. The black particles immediately floated away from Vin, up into the sky. "What about Eras?" Artif asked Vin, worried. The Inquisitor cursed, and attempted to leave the pool. However, the Swarm immediately tried to take control over Vin, so he splashed right back in.

"Help her!" shouted Vin as he pushed Artif out of the pool. Eras was just about to reach the bottom part when...

Vin turned to Seatus. "Can you patch me up real quick? I can probably get that Valkyrie out of the sky..."

Seatus nodded, and grabbed onto Vin's face and arm. He was going to have to tear out the implanted flesh, and cleanse it. The humanoid closed his eyes, and exerted a massive volume of energy into the flesh. In a few seconds, the arm and eye turned into wiry strings of flesh, and slipped off of Vin. The Inquisitor's real form was revealed...

Meanwhile, Artif was dragging back the Valkyrie with the hooked edge of the Triglav, wrestling the handle of the blade to barely keep a grip. The Valkyrie, however, let out an ear-piercing screech, sending out the familiar cloud of smoke. Artif held his breath, and tugged back with all his might, until the sound of flesh ripping was heard. It wasn't the Valkyrie's however. The small mercenary looked down at his Volcanic Plate Mail, to find it perforated with knife-like feathers. The Valkyrie lifted up the massive Triglav, finally lodging it out of her shoulder, and kicked it into the small mercenary, kncoking him back. The Valkyrie felt an extreme pain in her tail, and turned around to find it lopped off by Eras's Cautery Sword. With a great deal of contempt, the Valkyrie attempted to slash the doctor with her claw, but only cut air. However, as Eras was about to take another step back, the Valkyrie flung a shower of thorns at her...

By instinct, Eras blocked her face and torso with her arms, but one of the thorns had drilled into her arm. While Eras tried to take in the pain, the Valkyrie swung her Thorn Blade low...

...and successfully shattered the prosthetics.

When Artif came to, he saw a blurry pair of figures. One was walking towards the other, who was on the floor, crawling away. Muffled shouts echoed in his ears, and he turned to find a disheveled, burnt man pointing his charred stub back at the other two. It took a few seconds, until the memories rushed back in. Immediately, he ran off towards the Valkyrie, his armor falling to pieces, and tackled her to the ground. He didn't fully remembered as to why he was to engage, but he couldn't stop landing punch after punch. All of them were parried, blocked, or dodged, until the Valkyrie's knife-like feathers cut into the small man's arms. Even then, he only resorted to his elbows, and attempted to crush the Valkyrie's head without his hands. Instead, he only felt the massive resistance of a Shield Bracelet. The force emitted from the bracelet amplified, which then shoved the small mercenary back. She got up, walking right over to Artif, and stabbed into his torso. She twisted, pulled out, and stabbed.

And again.

And again.

And again...

Vin was cursing under his breath, mostly at himself for his weak state. Seatus had torn off all the foreign flesh from Vin's body, revealing a young man covered in burns, lacerations, and bruises. The Inquisitor, who had seemed to be in peak condition, was now a weakling. His left eye was charred black, his right arm a burnt stub, bones jutting out. This was the condition Vin was in as he was dying, dying from being consumed by Vog's flame. This was his true self, a man on the verge of death.

But he still retained his Dominance over his life.

Seatus was already applying on the new flesh, its revitalizing power erasing all the scars from the body. Even the small cuts left behind by the Valkyrie were being wiped off, revitalizing the skin.

"Seatus?" Vin asked as he was adjusting to the replacement.

"Hm?" the humanoid replied, his hands still working quickly.

"Is that the Valkyrie from before? The one that helped us?"

"Yeah, it's that one. I don't know why or how she came, but she wants to kill me. I think her name was Gwenyvier?"

"Huh, same here. Something to do with that Void scar on her face?" Vin stepped out of the pool, and the Swarm attempted to overtake his body. However, the new energy from Seatus's replacement turned the veins red, and so the black pixels settled down.

"The Swarm? I don't know. You made a pact with the Swarm, so it couldn't have been it."

Meanwhile, Eras was holding her gun up at Gwen, who had finally been satisfied with her work. Artif was unconscious, his chest cracked open into a gaping hole, but was still alive. Or, that was what the HUD indicated. The doctor fired a shot, which was deflected with the flick of the wing. She then backed away from Gwen, firing two more shots. Both of them missed by a long shot. With a hellish grin on her face, Gwenyvier walked over...

Ω-8
As Gwenyvier, the Valkyrie, walked over to Eras, she grinned like a fiend of hell. The doctor could do naught but fire off her Master Blaster, who's shots either missed or were deflected by the Valkyrie. Every step the Valkyrie took, the more fear crept into the doctor. It was as if Death itself was walking towards her, a sadistic, freaky Death. The Valkyrie lifted up her foot, and then stomped on the doctor's stub, where her left leg used to be. The shards of plastic and glass stabbed into the flesh, causing the doctor to scream. Another stomp into Eras's right stub resulted in a mess of blood spraying everywhere. The pain was way too much for a civilian like the doctor to even take, so she stopped screaming altogether. Instead, she only gasped at Gwenyvier with shock and fear. The doctor pulled the trigger on instinct, causing the Master Blaster to fly out of her hand. The Valkyrie only laughed like a freak, and raised her foot for another stomp. Only, that stomp never hit the floor. A blast erupted from underground, sending Gwenyvier mid-air. A solid wall of thorns shot out from the smoke, prompting the Valkyrie to raise her wings up in defense.

Not that it'd work.

Something, like a lance, broke out of her stomach with such force that her body contorted outwards. This left a wide opening for the thorn shower to directly snag her, peppering her full of the spiny protrusions. Another impact, something much more heavy in magnitude, slammed into the lance-like spike, leaving a fist-sized hole in her body. Something struck the back of her head hard, which was met with a crushing force into her face.

The Valkyrie was on the floor. No, the violence didn't stop there.

She got up as quickly as possible, and clawed instinctively behind her, hitting the surface of something furry. It wasn't nearly enough, to penetrate the hide, and she felt another flurry of thorns stab into her torso. She opened her eyes, to see Seatus slamming an elbow strike into her neck. Even for her, she felt as if she was being decapitated. As she was falling backwards, she saw blurry, hooded figure stand over her. His eyes were red, like that of a Snarbolax. But Seatus didn't wear a hood, nor did he have a hellish Thorn Blade in his hand.

The sounds of torn flesh and squelching echoed in Gwenyvier's ears for a time. She only felt numbness.

---

"Why did you throw her over the cliff?" Seatus asked, his legs dangling over Sanctuary's marble edge. He looked up at the cold, white sky of the Sanctuary, allowing the freezing air to flow through.

"Wanted to know how hard she'd hit the Core," Vin replied, dragging a fainted Eras into the pool nearby. Artif was completely submerged in the foggy liquid, his body recovering miraculously.

"Valkyries fly."

"As strong as she is, I don't think she can survive the things I've done. When I set my mind to that kind of thing, it usually means death."

"Never thought you'd brag about it."

"Did it sound like bragging?"

"Yup," the humanoid replied. He slipped back into the waters, and came out as fully human. He was a young man in his prime, his jet-black hair flecked with red barbs. He was lean, but still packed with quite a bit of muscle, although a bit wiry. (Due to him not purifying yet)

"Well, sorry about that," Vin replied. He still retained the blood red eyes, but no longer were they divided into thirds. No, they were still normal, human eyes. It was only the irises that were red. "Did you, by any chance, make an upgrade?"

"Yeah," the young man replied, scratching his head, "I put it more of 'you' than 'me'. Those crimson eyes fit you."

"Well, I liked my blue eyes more."

The two scoffed at this, and then sank deeper into the pool. Vin dragged the unconscious doctor into the pool with him, and sat her on his lap.

"Are her legs going to be like my arm?" Vin asked, pulling out the plastic shards. As soon as the fragments had left the body, they dissolved into nothingness.

"I'm not totally sure," the man replied, occasionally diving under to help pull out the shards. "It takes baby steps."

Vin, like an older brother, was guiding Eras through Sanctuary, holding her from under her arms, in case she fell. She couldn't believe it, she had new legs. It wasn't like the numb, cold feeling that her prosthetics had. No, she could feel the warmth of Vin's legs, the cold breeze that was in Sanctuary. The grass under her heel tickled and scratched, a sensation she hadn't felt in years. It was as if she was rebirthed into a new life, a life where she didn't have to be restricted by her prosthetics.

However, she was a long way from actually getting to that point.

Suddenly, her legs felt weakened, as if her knees were jelly, and she dropped to the floor. Vin managed to hold her up, but she pushed him back, lightly.

"I haven't felt this since the Skylark!" she exclaimed, tears of joy running down her face. She struggled for a few minutes, but she managed to get up all on her own. The doctor then ran towards Seatus, who was sitting down nearby, and toppled right on top of him.

"H-hey! Vin also has to take some of the credit," the young man mumbled, blushing uncontrollably. It was evident that the Snarbolax hadn't had that kind of interaction with a person in a long time. He was only hugged tighter, until his breath was being stolen away. "Urgh, too, tight..."

The Inquisitor only kneeled over laughing. He hadn't seen Seatus actually open up like that, nor had he ever seen Eras break down in tears. It was a queer sight, but a happy one. The two people he had least expected to be like that were showing theirselves in front of him. As for Artif, he was sighing dreamily at the three. He was still recovering inside the pool, his ribs still being reconstructed. Despite his disheveled state, a surge of pure poetry went through his mind.

"What wonders are feeling such as joy! I, for one, have ne-" Artif exclaimed aloud, before cutting himself off. It was his pet peeve/virtue that he described his feelings in form of poetry, for life was like a novel to him. Vin only collapsed on the floor, curled up from his guffaws. It was ridiculous at this point. Four seemingly cold-blooded, business-like people were acting like children, and like children, seemed care-free.

For now, life for these people would be a bit more happier, a bit more fulfilling. And then there would be work to do.

A Knight's fight.

(Contritio has nothing to do with the random religion thread. Contritio is 'destruction' in Latin.)

The deathly silence was permeated solely by the deliberate pangs of Contritio's heavy footsteps upon the cold, metallic floor. His deep violet eyes were set forward in an unwavering glare. Not even the groans of the Clockworks dared whisper forth the slightest disturbance to the forsaken place, the place that Contritio steadily advancing toward.

The narrow strip of pathway he tread upon quickly widened to a spacious court yard, the ground of which was tainted with the shed life blood of countless beings - barely visible in the darkness that settled in the area - and whose borders were surrounded on all sides by walls that rose up from the entryway.

Without hesitation, Contritio stepped through, advancing forward as the walls climbed to towering heights around him. He stopped before the large iron gates, like metal slabs, that rose up into the dark shroud above.

Contritio stood there, listening acutely to the silence around him, accepting his duty and steeling his mind.

"HQ, destruction is positioned and ready to be commenced."

Moments slipped by before a confirmatory signal blipped up innocently in front of his eyes. With the permission granted, Contritio pushed a small button at the centre of his armour's chest piece, clicking it into place. Immediately after, a slowly increasing hum began to emit outwards from his armour. In a flash of light, the gleaming suit of armour lit up, strands of light streaming across its surface. Its appearance was akin to that of a completely mechanized, metallic Ancient Plate Armor, with a Azure Guardian Helm of matching style sealed onto it.

With the custom armour active, Contritio reached down and pulled free a sleek looking, silver gun with sharp pulled back edges and a large ruby barrel. Aiming straight forward, he pulled the trigger, resulting in a flare of crimson energy which soared forth from the gun's tip, sending an impossibly bright beam of fire crashing into the metal gate. The beam faded, revealing a large blackened hole resting where the shot had landed.

As Contritio began to move towards the new entrance, the entire yard lit up, expelling the darkness around it. The way back to the narrow pathway rumbled, and a large slate of metal rose up, sealing in with the walls around it. A brief glow slipped across the walls' surfaces in its entirety. Hesitating, Contritio turned back at his obstructed exit right before a crushing force propelled him forward, towards the centre of the court yard; except that he wasn't in a court yard, he was in an arena. A mechanical screech echoed across the arena.

"Only one Knight?" Unseen speakers blared out a rough crackling voice. "I was expecting more." The voice cackled harshly, before the speakers went dead.

Grumbling, Contritio unsheathed his heavily modified Archeron, its edge pulsing a void amethyst. Standing up, he swerved to confront the enemy that had appeared at the iron gates, a large mechanical abomination, reaching a bit beyond Vanaduke's size. The hulking body lurched forward, one arm the size of two Knight's, and the other honed to an impeccable sharp edge. Contritio's glanced over to his Flare gun, which had slipped out of his hand form the hit. A thud captured his attention, and his eyes widened to see the mechanical giant had launched itself into the air, straight towards him. Dashing back, he rolled, just as it landed, leaving the ground rumbling. The speakers screeched back on, forcing both combatants to pause.

"You truly are boring," the voice intoned. "Let's get this action going!" The somehow repaired iron gates opened once more, and a swarm of large-clawed Wolver's sped out, before closing once more. Contritio gripped his Archeron tighter.

"Relinquish the Artifact, you foul creature!" Contritio bellowed in irritation. The Wolvers stopped their approach as the voice responded.

"I really don't think I will."

Barking madly, three Wolvers shot up behind him, teeth barred, spittle flying. Ducking below, Contritio swung his Archeron in an arch as they passed overhead, slitting open their stomachs. His Archeron sizzled as the blood dripped down its edge. With barely enough time to react, Contritio leapt forward, the mechanical giant's arm slamming into the ground, the only warning being the grinding of its gears. Two Wolvers lunged for him immediately after, bringing their claws down at his armour. Rapidly turning his back to them, the Wolvers crashed into Contritio's large shield harmlessly. Dashing for the giant, Contritio swept his Archeron forward, clearing the Wolvers blocking him, quickly closing in. A snarl sounded behind him and he jumped forward, spinning, sword out, tearing the jaws off the attacking Wolver and sending it sprawling into its accomplice. Working with his momentum, he sliced down, skinning the giant as it swung once more, missing narrowly. Landing behind it, Contritio barely had a moment to breath before a Wolver slammed into his side, knocking him over. Its jaws snapped at him hungrily, as it kept him pinned on the ground. With his sword arm pressed against the down, Contritio struggled about frantically, avoiding the Wolvers deadly teeth, doggedly.

At last, his arm slipped free and without a moments hesitation had skewered the thing clean through. Rolling up onto his feet, he eyes his fallen Flare Gun, and charged at it, leaving a dusky trail of violet as he tore his way through the crowd of Wolvers, their blood and fur being swept to the side in a flurry of morbid beauty.

Sweeping the gun off the ground he spun around and fired a searing beam of light, which incinerated half a dozen Wolvers, leaving a crude smouldering smell in the air, and wisps of ash flittering through the air. Aiming next at the Iron giant, Contritio did not flinch as a he flared off shot after shot.

When the light dimmed, he was shocked to find brightly glowing circles where the shots had landed. Only the menace's large arm had been penetrated, glowing globs of molten metal dripping down onto the stained floor. Twirling his blade around, he stabbed a Wolver charging at his back without averting his attention. Returning his weapons, he flexed his hands, a his armour began humming loudly.

The remaining packs of Wolvers immediately advanced towards him, and the giant began trudging forward. A tingle danced through Contritio's fingers. The Wolvers, mere meters away bared their fangs, saliva greedily dripping out their mouths. A snap sounded out from Contritio's hands his cue to launch into action.

Leaping up, he threw himself around in a circle, hand outstretched as blinding arcs of light screamed through the air, connecting his hand with that of the now convulsing bodies that lay around him. Landing next to the giant, Contritio slammed his hand against the cold iron body and unleashed another charge, the surging power knocking it back. Whipping out his Archeron, Contritio thrusted it forward, just as the thing brought down its own honed blade, clashing together. Without missing a beat, the two fought out, parrying each other's blows mercilessly. In a burst of speed, the mechanical arm came down and crashed into Contritio's leg. Though the armour easily absorbed the hit, Contritio stumbled back, wincing, and the giant didn't miss the opportunity, lunging forward at Contritio's chest. Falling back, Contritio turned around, the sword skinning off the shield upon his back. Barrel rolling forward, gripped his sword tightly and flung it at the iron giant, immediately throwing another bolt of electricity in its wake as the blade soared through the air. Vivid blue sparks rippled across the purple sword's blade as it buried itself into the iron giant, who doubled over and began contorting obscenely, before it erupted into a blaze of metal shrapnel and flames.

Effortlessly bringing out his large shield, Contritio ducked down as an icy blue aura swirled around him. A large gear slammed into the force field, instantly freezing, encased in a white layer of frost. Flames licked out at Contritio, but none could reach him. Putting his shield back in its place, Contritio walked past the myriad of frozen metal junk that littered the floor around him, and retrieved his Archeron.

Slowly sheathing it, he turned back to face the great iron gates. Marching towards it, through the singed, eviscerated and obliterated Wolver bodies and burning shrapnel. The speakers switched back on with a screech.

"You have defeated my little army." The voice seemed disappointed. Pulling out his Flare gun once more, Contritio rolled his eyes and blasted another hole through the thick iron slab, following up with a strike of electricity.

"Release the Artefact." Contritio demanded, in an unwavering tone. There was silence, then the voice spoke once more.

"No."

The 4th wall shall be shattered!!!

A vanguard named Rasfie went down through the clockworks one afternoon. He decided to go on a ice queen run with 3 of his squadmates. They hacked and shot until they finally beat the ice queen and went into the unknown passage. The unknown passage seemed stranger then it usally did, like it was disturbed by a powerful force. Rasfie and his squadmates ignored this and continued on, until one of them mysteriously disappeared after the first battle, followed by a scream.

"Where's Bob," asked Joe, "and why did Pi give everyone but you simple and lame names?"

Because I'm too lazy to make new names

"Oh," said Joe.

"I don't know," Rasfie said, "Maybe he went back to Haven?"

"I don't think he did judging by that scream," said Bob2.0

Rasfie and his squadmates continued down the unknown passage, with Bob2.0 going alone. Suddenly, anouther scream was heard, Bob2.0 was not seen anywhere.

"Is this a joke?" asked Rasfie.

"I think it has something against people named Bob," said Joe.

"It?" said Rasfie, "there's no monster and I'm not afraid of anything."

"You should be, you are going to-"

"Quit spoiling the story, lets let the reader find out on his/her own."

"Good point."

Rasfie and his squadmate continued to the final battle of the unknown passage, after beating all the monsters were killed, Rasfie's last squadmate disappeared followed by a scream.

"This isn't funny you guys," said Rasfie, "I'm not amused... Guys? Oh well, I guess I'll go down the elevator."

Rasfie walked to the elevator, which was strangly static on the screen. Rasfie ignored this and went down, after he did, the static turned black with a swarm eye.

I'll finish it later

A Trio of Knights made their way through a decorated corridor of the palace of the Sovereign Slime. The leading one bore a Vog Coat, as well as cap, bearing an Owlite shield on an arm, and a Divine Avenger gripped in his free hand. An Acheron at his hip. Another was cloaked in a Divine set, with a Final Flourish hanging at her belt. A Swiftstrike on her back, and a loaded Sentenza could be seen holstered. The last one boasted a Volcanic Demo suit and helm with a Volcanic PLate shield on his back. Gripping a Voltaic Tempest in one hand, and a Nitronome in the other. As they reached a corner the leader stopped, and held up a hand, motioning the others to halt. The bomber whispered, "What is it Luke? More slimes?"

Luke replied quietly, "yeah, but that's not all," He waved them closer, they scanned the room opening up before them. A meeting seemed to be happening, there was the King of goo himself, but he seemed to be communicating with another group of, Gremlins?!? The Gremlin was a Ghostmane, holding a paper with some sort of stamp on it. The Ghostmane had four Darkfang Thwackers, and half a dozen Mecha-Knights, with a Mender on the side. Luke turned to the bomber, "Hey Bolt, get your Nitronome ready,"

The knight in the Divine set spoke up, "Why is that Luke, what are you planning?"

Luke looked over, "Because Crys, its time we crashed this party."

* * *

The Ghostmane's patience was running thin, he had been sent to the Jelly kingdom to make a treaty with the Royal Jelly, in hopes of gaining more troops to combat those invading knights. He was told it would be easy, the jellies were a sentient species but had no brain, they would be easy to convince into a treaty. They weren't. The majesty was an ambitious slime, and had this idea that he could beat the "Armored swordsmen" with no help from anyone whatsoever period. The negotiations were going on too long and he, a ghostmane, was accustomed to action not diplomacy. He tried one more time, "Your most ambitious royalty, you should ponder the most wisest course of action. If you alone cannot defeat the invaders, then you'll lose your kingdom, but we will send reinforcements, they will help!" The king was already shaking his bulk, as if he had already made up his mind. He was tempted to just get rid of the king and take over the palace. He was so absorbed in his thoughts he didn't notice a white spherical object roll under the table he and the king were arguing at.

* * *

Bolt counted down silently to himself, 4.....3......2......1.... There was a white explosion as the bomb exploded.

"Go go go!" Luke ordered, they charged into the room, the occupants still blinded by the light of the explosion. Luke let loose a charge from his avenger, blasting through the slimes. Crys fired round after round of Shadow bullets at the Gremlins, taking out the Mender first, and Bolt had an Agni already charged up and loosed it on the slimes. The enemy was repelled by the initial attack, but started to regroup and advance. "Crys, Bolt, Deal with the Gremlins! I got the slimes until you can help!" He drew his Acheron and slashed an opposing jelly into two. Luke spun his Acheron and sliced two more jellies into a pile of goo. He felt a slight tremor below him and rolled sideways as a spike erupted from beneath where he was standing, he sheathed his Acheron, reaching behind him to find a vial of poison liquid. He hurled it at the Royal Jelly, and drew his shadow blade, charging it up. He saw the vial collide with the monstrous pile of goo, and ran forward bounding over a jelly that was about to charge at him, he let the Acheron go, and a wave of shadow energy slammed into the king. He began to hack away at the mass, the poison preventing him from regenerating.

Bolt slid under a Mecha-Knight's swing, and deposited an Agni under its mechanical legs. He came up and grinned ant the bot, watching it explode into flames, he spun around to face the others and saw a thwack hammer spinning rapidly towards him, Bolt slid his shield around blocking the wrench hammer, and it clanged to the ground. He looked up and saw the offending gremlin charge towards him swinging its hammer at his head. Bolt sidestepped the charging gremlin, planting a Nitronome on his back. The gremlin slowed down and turned around slowly, scanning the room for his target. He saw the knight and snarled, the knight replied by winking, and held up three fingers, counting down to one. Bolt watched as the gremlin disappeared in a white flash of light. Bolt turned around and saw Crys dealing with the others. "Time to be the cavalry." He said to himself.

Crys deflected a swing from a Mecha-Knight with her Final Flourish, making it slice its comrade's shield arm off. She rolled between the two, and came up with her Sentenza, blasting their heads off with shadow bullets. She spun the gun and shot two more Mecha-Knights, crippling them. Three thwackers advanced on her, each swinging their hammer from a different direction. She drew her Flourish and flipped backwards, out of range of the three attacks. The hammers crossed each other, tangling the Gremlins' weapons. One pulled at his hammer, then looked up seeing a rapier impale one of his comrades, then the other. The thwacker jumped backwards, leaving his weapon, and turned to run. He went a dozen paces and tripped on something, tripping him. He crashed into the ground, looking up he saw a light-grey ball, rolling slightly in front of him. Blindly he kicked it away from himself, and saw it roll towards the knight he had been fighting, who was engaging the rest of the Mecha-Knights with a rapier-like sword.

Bolt watched the Gremlin flee from Crys, and tripped him with a live Nitronome. When the thwacker launched it towards Crys, he called out "Watch out! Nitro incoming!" He saw Crys nod, turn and dive away from the Knight-bots. The blew up and he hurled an Agni at the lucky gremlin, who burst into flames. He made his way over to Crys and she got up.

"Can't we ever not end with a bang?" She looked at him grinning.

"Why ever would we not?" He replied. "We should go help Luke now,"
They turned and ran to assist their leader, who was leaving a trail of destruction.

Luke slashed another jelly and sidestepped to avoid a spike. He had reduced the Jelly king to nothing, but its subjects were another matter. He spun around, swinging his Divine Avenger in a circle, propelling any slime away form him. He paused for a breath, when did they end? He switched to his Acheron and went to work again, annihilating the gooey opponents that surrounded him. He slashed and slashed, then rolled and stabbed. Blocking incoming spikes from polyps with his shield. He had to get rid of the polyps, but there was a lot more enemies to deal with. He heard a noise and spun around, he saw Crys and Bolt, running towards him. He waved and pointed at the polyps. They nodded and he went back to work, hacking the jellies into oblivion.

Crys fired a Sentenza charge shot into three of the ten polyps. They dissolved, and she continued firing at the other jelly turrets. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Bolt hurl an Agni at the Polyps. The erupted into flames and dissolved after a round of Shadow bullets. She ran forwards and leapt into the fray by Luke. He nodded at her, and they fought back to back, Crys using her Sentenza, and Luke his Acheron. From time to time theey would see a Nitronome blow a couple slimes into pieces. When they finally reduced the mass of jellies to bits of goo, they regrouped. Luke was pretty tired and Bolt was worn-out, but in all they were doing fine.

Luke looked at the other two, "So, did you get the gremlins?"
They nodded, "The Ghostmane was the leader, I would have like to interrogate him."

Bolt spoke, "Well I didn't get him. That's on Crys."

Crys retorted, "What are you talking about I never saw him, I thought you got him!"

Luke interrupted, "Woah, woah, your saying you didn't get the Ghostmane?"

They shook their heads and they tensed, looking around.

A voice echoed through the room. "Heh heh heh, thought you got me eh? Well then you got another thing coming for you!"

A sawblade spun out of nowhere, heading straight for Luke.

"Heads up!" Bolt shoved Luke out of the way and brought his shield around, but was too late as the blade embedded into his shoulder. "Darnit, too slow," Bolt sank down on one knee.

Crys activated her comlink, "Spiral Command we have wounded requesting evac immediately! You ok Bolt?"

"Yeah I'm fine, just get that Ghostmane for me ok?" He grinned.

The same voice echoed again. "Ha ha ha ha ha! 'that Ghostmane' its cute how you think there's one of us."

Luke and Crys immediately took up a ready position, surrounding Bolt and surveying the room. There was nothing in sight, nothing that they could see, then a dozen Ghostmane Stalkers uncloaked, surrounding the three knights. One spoke "Prepare to meet your end invaders!"

The three exchanged looks. "Like that's gunna happen." Luke replied, and raised his Acheron.

Rage-Pillows
Compound Level. Don't you just dread those?

Loadout: Clawsword. PVE.

I play a lot. I like to play efficiently. Always Elite. Always with Chaos. Well, even among the veterans around here, I'm one of a kind. Or kind of one.

I'll admit it. I've seen better with bigger equips than me. I'm not aiming any higher than what I have though. It's called being efficient. Fire med resist on each. Piercing med resist on each. I was never going to be rich enough to afford a good third uv, so it's not worth mentioning.

Asi med Acheron. It was a humble gift from a guy who owned two of them. He let me choose between the asi and the ctr med. With Chaos, it was an obvious choice.

Warmaster Rocket Hammer. I bought OCH with real money after it became available for CE Purchase. I figured I'd bit more charitable towards OOO after playing so long.

And the Swiftstrike Buckler. Took this out of a Guild Member bank. I don't know who put it up there, but thanks.

My first shield is my sword's swift knockback. My second shield is my shield bump. My third shield is my dragon. A Swordie's best friend. As well as everyone else's best friend too with the frenzy firestorm buff.

I've said all that's worth saying. I don't wear fur or pelts. I bring my Cursed to die and to kill.

Now... there's a room. It splits into two paths, only to join together in the center. In the center, there's two keys. You need the keys to beat the level.

Step on the button. Spawn the colossal Ent and its nice little puppy. Down goes the puppy with my hammer. Down goes the Ent.

Up comes the cute growls. Tens of them. But like I said. My gear's not for show. I tear a path with a wave as dark as night into the crowd of teeth. And...

that's all I'm good for. It takes one good hit to end a match and I was in the after-math, trapped in a nest. When you realize you can't move, you swing. This is something you learn after you learn the hard way.

But this. This is jumping out of one fire and into another. All the asi in the world would not leave me unscathed. I was the chewed up end of a pen that was about to come into contact with the good hello of "Nice little puppy's brother." Something smiled in that den and I was afraid of it.

I drew out my Dragon's Fire Barrier and did what I could. I could set fire to everything that came near me and the little beasties were still coming. Down goes Clawsword, The All-Around Chaos.

(Sad to see my actual entry's shorter than my intro. If the contest host is interested, I can try a second entry)

Story
-----------------------
After killing a slag walker in Firestorm Citadel, I was arrested by a Dreadnought bounty hunter for murder, although many other people get away with it.
I was locked in a cold dungeon with no food. I was a guinea pig for the new way of execution the Almirians had created. Later I was released for execution.
"Release the beast!" shouted the king in excitement. Then everything went silent and something was peeking through its cage. It was Snarbolax, and no bell! I taunted the beast and it leaped furiously. I then blocked the attack, receiving terrible shield damage, breaking the shield.
Now I had no shield, no energy and was dog food. This moment sounded hopeless but then I rung a ghost bell from my pocket, and it had the same effect. Now the ferocious monster was stunned, I quickly made a huge cut in the cheek of the beast. Blood was pouring out at a horrifically fast rate. The beast was screaming and running around, and then lashed violently at me, showing his vulnerable spot.

It was time to show what a merchant can really do. I was slashing like mad with my merchants blade , until Snarbolax fell down on top of a lake of his own blood. "Pathetic beast. I will take of Whyna myself! MWAHAHAH!

"No please, sire let me take care of this little worm." interrupted a Dreadnought. I had kept my distance until I could release a vicious attack. The Dreadnought had charged at me, but failed terribly and killed a member of the audience. "Epic fail!" I said in an attempt to anger the Dreadnought. It worked. I then shielded the attacks and attacked him on his back. Instead of blood, this dirty goo had oozed onto the floor, then the undead fools guts exploded. Ewww!

I was then rescued by a Spiral Warden and ran to Haven using an mysterious energy portal.

I could not feel anything in my arms and legs. My joints ached and my gear was worn. Roars and screeches echoed behind me.

'Don't look back don't look back.' I chanted to myself, over and over again, like some sort of unholy ritual. But my body would no longer obey my mind. My head slowly turned, and I once more glimpsed the horror that was chasing me. I have heard old tales and horror stories of this abomination: The Swarm.

It was a nightmarish, black blot of disgustingly rotten dead bodies, swirling dark energy, bloody bones and old weapons, and in the midst of it all was a singular, evil, UNHOLY, Red Eye. Its unblinking pupil stared at me with malicious intent, thinking it had a new victim. Well, this knight would not succumb so easily!

I turned and slashed at it with my Acheron, but it only grabbed it, and shoved it deep into my gut. Immense pain seared my senses, and I coughed up a lot of blood. My nose began to bleed and my vision was blurry, so I left a bomb for the creature and ran as fast as my broken body would carry me. I had no Sparks of Life left. I could die here.

A black tendril reached out and grabbed me by the leg and threw me onto the ground. My head hit a rock, and I could feel the left side of my face shatter. It was amazing I was alive at all. Blood and bone fragments leaked out of the side of my broken helm. My legs did not listen to anything I told them to do.

'RUN! RUN! RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN-' The Swarm stabbed my leg, and I screamed in agony. The central eye opened up, spilling out a mass of dead flesh and guts, and skeletons reached out to grab at me. I lopped off some of their heads, black ooze and the occasional severed body part spilling out. I would feel the pressure increasing, The Swarm dragging me towards it, to become nothing more than a part of it. No mind. To consciousness.

One of the skeletons ripped my arm off, as I watched in horror it disgusted it by shoving it down it's open stomach, the dead organs pulsating and digesting my arm. I vomited in disgust, losing more blood in the process. I slashed at the air blindly, sometimes I hit, and sometimes I didn't. When I struck a soft spot, gallons of blood, vomit, and guts spilled out, like The Swarm was just a gore-filled balloon that just kept killing and absorbing. There was nothing I could do. It ate me alive, crushing my will and consciousness. I was gone, just a ghost in the machine…

No.

It could not end this way.

IT WON'T END THIS WAY!

I lashed out, enraged and raw, at the inside of this horrible creature. Blood steadily poured in, but none of it mattered. I drank it like sweet nectar, and it fueled my bloodlust, my rage. The could hear it squeal in pain, and I smiled a crooked smile.

"TIME TO DIE!" I primed a bomb and shoved it upwards, high into the creature's body, I heard a loud squelching noise, then…

BOOOM! ( http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/9558/startrekdudesheadexplod.gif )

Guts, flesh and puddles of black good scattered everywhere. I was thrown high into the sky, and I knew it was over for me. I sighed. At least I won't be going alone. I fell, feeling the wind on my face for the last time. Then there was nothing.

*****Spiral Order Morgue*****

"What's the condition of the body?" Morlin asked. The technician stumbled over his words.

"Well sir…there isn't much of a body to examine…" Said the technician nervously. Morlin patted the man on the back.

"Oh, it can't be that bad, let's have a-OH FLIPPING WIZZERJIGGERS!" Morlin jumped back in disgust. The body had shifted into a black, pulsating mass, tendrils of dead flesh poking out of it, and it was convulsing on the table. Morlin commanded his battle sprite.

"Kill it." The battle sprite completely destroyed it, it blew up into a shower of blood and guts. Morlin cringed.

"Clean this up, and don't bring me to anything like this again." Morlin said sternly. "Burn the body." The technician argued.

"Spiral HQ was supposed to have this for study, you can't just-"

"THIS IS UNETHICAL! AS A MAN OF SCIENCE I AM NOT AFRAID TO CROSS LINES, BUT THIS IS ONE BOUNDARY I CANNOT OVERSTEP!" Morlin stomped out, leaving the technician alone. Then a fleshy tendril wrapped around the technician's neck.

To anyone who is reading this , i may not survive to tell this tale to you... but you must prepare about the monster that is coming for you.... a gigantic beast made from metals and darkness. You must NOT engage it.. for what lies ahead to do so is a fate worst than dead itself... It has the ability of project R , yet it seems to corrupt the mind of its victim.. i have warned you..

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is all i can write as i throw my journal deep to the clowckwork , hoping one may find and heed my warning. The monster now are charging its giant laser , anything caught by it will be nothing but ash. I ran to the end of the room and flicked a switch raising barrier that can hold the assult of the beast. Then it launches the laser , destroying even its allies that is unfortunate to be on its way. " Gentelman , we may die here today.. But if we should, lets bring the monster down with us !! " i screamed trying to encourage my men .

This is going nowhere ... Monster keep caming out of the ground and fallen knights being revived as one of them.. I have run out of idea to defeat them. The hulking giant fires a steady line of missle.. unlike project R there is only one of them. I grabed my Glacius and my voltedge , then i start to kill everything that came out of the ground. " This is useless ! the only way to kill them is by dismantling project R ! " i think to myself.

It continued it's barrage of rockets and laser... each companied by scream of terror and blood. guts was splattered all around my face.. it was a terriable sight. I throw a few of my nitronome blasting everything in its range , and black goo was splattered merging with the blood of my comrade. In a desperate move , i charged to R and stabs its mouth with two of my blade.. only to get hit by a laser

The room now is colored red,black,and blue. Either by the ash , goo , electric , and blood . I can't feel my leg.. neither was my left arm , i can see it has been severed from my body.. At my final strike i picked up my argent peacemaker , and shot the rounds into R's rocket , finally damaging it. Then i throw my last nitronome to its open mouth , reducing it to peices . altough the blast carried me down into the deep cloackworks . as i fall i looked up to the beutifull sight of fireworks . " guess this is the end.. " i said then i closed my eyes.....

October 1st ,9:00 pm

I was in depth 20, using my Divine Avenger to smack spookats back where they belong, as I was progressing, I walked onto the button, then the gate front of me won't open, I thought the gremlins were responsible for this, then something scared the spark of life outa me, something grabbed my leg, then it pulled my entire body. " If I actually survive this.. I would blame Feron for placing me on this mission for saving those newbies who doesn't know how to even pick up a sword." Then I was in some strange realm, a place where it gave you a chill through your spine. As I figure out where am I, a soul appear right at front of me. I asked "where am I?" "You're in a terrible realm where people investigate further through the Apocrea realm, but never came back alive or dead." It replied. I may not know what a Apocrea was , but I know now people don't come out of there alive. I found a elevator next to that strange pillar, I called in my pet Mr-sparkles ( Maskeraith) to help me on this horrific journey to find those puny knights. As I came down from the elevator, I feel that something is watching me, I duno if the mystical Beast Snarbolax is actually watching me, but I felt a cold finger touching me, I use my Rocket hammer to bash some one behind me, but it turns out that it was 3 souls cuffed with some strange sigil, I manage to bash to souls to be free from those strange sigils, but one disappeared, then I notice something watching me , I thought one of the knights survived, but as I got closer , it had long arms and 3 eyes, I started to attack the strange being when all the sudden, something grabbed me by the legs, as it got to me , it started to blast a strange ray at me, I never felt so weak ,then I collapsed to the ground like a ragdoll. I manage to get back on my feet and found a nearby elevator, just a few miles away. I ran to the elevator safely, I felt relieved that was over. I'll be prepared to face the strange being the next time I'll be seeing it.Then I was back in the realm again. This time... I am ready to face that 3 eyed monster. I walking around in circles to see if it brings attention. Then, I spotted the 3 eyed monster, I used my maskeraith to cloak me to hit it in the back. As I approached it, I brought out my warmaster rocket hammer to hammer him. Then, it sank into the ground and I ended up with 2 swarm of tiny pests mixed with those bombheaded zombies. I'm never gonna let my foe get away this time. I started to smash the bombheaded zombies and pushed them to blow up those pests. I use my barbarous thorn blade to stab as many pests as I can see. I saw my real enemy and shield bash myself out of the crowd.Then I brought out my warmaster rocket hammer and smash the flat part of my hammer right in the face of the monster. It retreated into the ground and I claim victory. I found the elevator right in the front where the coward sank and went in. As I got out of the elevator, I saw a some bodies on the floor. I knew they wouldn't survive that monster even together as a team. Then I saw the same pillar that I encuntered after I went in the elevator. I approached to the pillar, then my nightblade floated out of me and it changed. It changed into a strange weapon that I didn't expected. I picked up the strange weapon and all sudden, those pests came out of the ground to attack me, I use my new weapon against them. When I hit tthe first pest I see, it blasted a line of those purple vines at them, grabbing them into the ground. I felt that I developed a new source of power and drag all the bodies to the next elevator leading to haven.

THE END

Ok so one day exploring the clockworks I run into this.. uh... well... how should I say...? Dawg, dog, or some kind of wolf... Anyways, it started dancing around as if we are friends! It slowly comes closer to me (Not knowing it's a trap) and it gets so close that it bites me! "Whosers! That really hurt." I said it did not care a thing I said but gave me a devilish look...
