Ah, the Snarby set.
The only Wolver set I'd be willing to equip the entire pack (instead of Skolver/Vog) and wear for more than a single mission. Too bad I haven't gotten my Ash Tail set up to level 10 for me to grab the Snarby coat and cap yet. I'm just a few levels away, but I just hate using it too much to take farming for the thing seriously!
As The-Worst-Knight said, it can be good for arcade runs or those more dangerous areas that are jam packed with kats, devilites, and gorgoes. It also looks cool so you may find some usage in costumes as well. Poison can be a problem due to it weakening your attack power so the resistance and extra damage could help a lot with that too.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that I find my Vog set more useful in these areas than my Snarby set.
I guess I'm the only one who likes to be able to actually hit fast things instead of missing and not putting my damage bonus to use...
Uses other than LD? How about the Snarbolax Shadow Lair (oh wait...). It also has its uses in Heart of Ice and I've seen some people put its shadow defense to use in FSC as well.

just use faster weapons. Flourishes, hammers, and brandishes don't have problems hitting them even with no asi.
It's good for arcade runs, use it for fiends levels. Also i used it for Guantlet, even for a full run.
ps rename your topic, it's about snarby set, not sanctuary.
