Ever since the release of the Battle Sprites, players have been hoarding Crimsonite, Luminite, and Dark Matter to create Sprite food with, while at the same time, they were also dumping excess Valestone and Moonstone into inactive Arcade gates, resulting in the removal of the gate creation system from the Arcade. This action unfortunately & unintentionally contributed to newer & current players being unable to obtain the "Minor Miner", "Moderate Miner", "Major Miner", "Marvelous Miner", and "Master Miner" achievements.

I propose that the parameters for obtaining these achievements be changed so that when a player "recovers X amount of of minerals from the Clockworks", they will then be able to claim each achievement in turn. I would also recommend that these same achievements be retroactively altered for players who have previously succeeded in obtaining any and/or all of them prior to the alterations to the Arcade.

Good idea, but I would wait till after the 'secound part' of the arcade redux.

Yes

The achievements either need to be altered or a use for the currently redundant minerals be made available.

Totally agree

Having achievements broken for years is a real shame for a game. It provides frustration to people who really cares about it. Today, 7 achievements are broken (5 Miner achievements + Wake it Off + Applied Entropy). That's more than 10% of achievements broken. That's way too much !! =/

The solution proposed today by Corinthmaxwell seems good AND technically doable.
Well ... If really it's IMPOSSIBLE to count the number of mineral a player recovers through his runs for X or Y reasons, ok fine. What about changing the requirement into "Amass X amount of minerals in your inventory" ? Would be pretty easy to add something that count how much minerals you have in your inventory and once the total hit the amounts (1/100/500/2.500/10.000), the achievement unlocks ?

The only "drawback" would be that you need to save your minerals until 10.000 (so no alchemize them) in order to reach the limits. But well ... Would be a nice challenge and pets can wait for food ¬¬
