How much moonstone and valestone minerals have you collected?

You know.

Ever since they become worthless after pet update.
(I.E. no way to craft, deposit, or sell them)

I have about 1000 of each by now, but it gets me right in the feels when I'm partying and people purposely skip huge, shiny Moonstone and Valestone deposits just for their tiny pet rock food.

about 3k of each. Might as well be ready when they release new sprites.

Paintool, what does the image say about my moonstone/valestone levels?

I did start collecting long before the update though lol. I just never deposited them.

I have to agree with Fehzor

I have to agree with Fehzor on this one.

Geological survey states: " Chief Geo Knight Wegner is always seeking to further his research on the mysterious minerals that are found in the Clockworks. The experiments he conducts on his available samples tend to result in their disintegration. Because of this, he's always in need of brave knights to delve into the Clockworks to procure more samples for him. "

Also if you go to Wegner in game via missions or even just talking with him, he says: " Collect the biggest, shiniest ones. They are most valuable. They are used to create sprite food int he laboratory. Sprite food is very important to your nerfed drakon/seraphynx sprite, so grab red/purple/yellow ones.
Our Geological research is ongoing so there maybe other fascinating uses for these strange and powerful minerals."

I'd like to believe you Wegner, I really do.

Take the evidence as it is.

Couldn't we have a "check -

Couldn't we have a "check - you got the weapon" and keeping our gear, instead of trashing our things?

It made some sense when we were turning in 1*, 2*, maybe even 3* stuff, but after that the pay wall gets absolutely ridiculous when compared to the amount of hours/days, and radiant heat crystals that were invested to make it.

As a matter of fact, where are these so called knights who are getting our free 5* weapons?

Certainly not those guys without power at Rescue Camp!~

We can talk about Drakon's

We can talk about Drakon's fire barrier becoming standard drop items, but the data for such barriers has been in game since Vanaduke started swinging his big hefty fireballs at us. Even Arkus and Seerus (in bombs) have them. You still get passive bonuses, but suddenly imagine how much letdown you have getting a level 100+ Drakon now becoming standard item drops.

But let's talk about Seraphynx. For a while, Seraphynx users were the only source of defense orb drops; it didn't help much, but it gave us a purpose in life to help buff our teammates. Then defense orb drops now drop from any enemy... so people who don't have Seraphynx users can get what Seraphynx users had without all the effort. Also keep in mind Sera users could also stack defense buffs, so we could have 200 seconds of buff time, which was incredible; now the timer resets to 30 seconds and in some cases not at all (timer not resetting glitch).

So far, Maskeraith users have yet to be "shard bombed", AKA getting your cool stuff replaced with some less than cool stuff.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

I feel like I'll repeat this sentence to death, but
drakon's barrier is not bad compared to the usables, unless the usables can kill a lumber.

When using the usable, you

When using the usable, you have to keep in mind the "invinci-tinks", because enemies become invincible when you do what you're supposed to do?
This can be avoided, however, with a quick dash in another direction and continuing to use the barrier on an enemy.

Nothing will replace drakon's buffs, but I don't need a drakon to take down lumbers using barriers.

- I have about 5k of both moonstone/valestone
__________

So far, Maskeraith users have yet to be "shard bombed", AKA getting your cool stuff replaced with some less than cool stuff.
-Poison Vials are more powerful poison than Quills' poison (though I wonder if used together, does a weaker effect replace a stronger one?)
-Deadly Shadow Cloak's attack bonus vs attack pickups - attack pickups last way longer.
-Chaotic Haze's random status vs... well, vials' non-random statuses.
-Haunted Haze does nothing special, but looks cool when you kill monsters with it.

Maskeraith's Deadly Shadow Cloak and Drakon's Backfire Burner's attack and speed effects respectively are shorter than the pickups' bonuses, with the tradeoff that you can 'call' their effects by using the skills.

@Seiran - You already know this but:

Mask's quills deal more damage and poison more enemies than poison vials do.

Deadly shadow cloak is more reliable+more potent and comes at the exact right time, whereas pickups are often given to you after fights or at least after killing the enemies.

Chaotic Haze deals a ton of damage to a crowd; the status effects add to this by effecting a larger number of enemies and presumably causing them harm with shock+fire+curse.

:P
Mask's quills deal more damage and poison more enemies than poison vials do.
Not in regular use: usually the quills tag one enemy as it moves towards you, maybe two if that enemy steps over. The Poison Vial has an instant area of effect. I do have Virulent (mini poison mist) and not Vengeful quills (spreading quills), so maybe that's why I don't see this "poisons more enemies" bit.

Yes, the skill does damage, but the poison effect is definitely weaker though.

___
That bit was in response to this:
We can talk about Drakon's fire barrier becoming standard drop items, but the data for such barriers has been in game since Vanaduke started swinging his big hefty fireballs at us. Even Arkus and Seerus (in bombs) have them. You still get passive bonuses, but suddenly imagine how much letdown you have getting a level 100+ Drakon now becoming standard item drops.

Yeah, there aren't currently any items or alternate ways to get to some of the Maskeraith mechanics (the spreading quills, the 'time bomb' tag from haze, invisibility), but at the same time, it's not completely immune to having some of its features taken or done more effectively/controlled with items.

Ah, that would be why, yes. I have the spreading quills with voltaic tempest, and they usually poison two or three enemies+deal moderate damage. The damage is the big thing though, I don't care much for the poison effect.

And I suppose you do make a good point.
