Lol, the only reason why half the people play those crazy amounts of M rated games is just to look cool and act like they have friends. Is Super Mario Galaxy 2 not good enough for you all? Because SMG2 is real fun, not overrated shooting games. And there is more than that. Sonic Generations, the first few Final Fantasy games, Super Meat Boy, World of Goo, SSBB, Cave Story, Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door (which is my most favorite game EVER, nothing ever comes in my way for that, and I'd vendor my ASI brandishes for that to be added to the Wii U VC), and Portal. Not everything HAS to be about killing people, you know. Just be gald all those turtles and chestnuts you stomped on don't spew blood everywhere and say bad words just to add "engagement". Can these guys even play a flipping racing game without putting a bullet to each other's heads?

I don't know what people look for in games.
Example: most people won't ever touch a japanese title like Touhou, but there are competitions held for Hisoutensoku, Smash Bros. and ,Osu! (Music game) Osu! Is notable for racial slurs in chat :p
Guess it's the type of genre of games the prefer or something.

Ironic, seeing as Hisoutensoku is a Touhou game as well, only a fighter instead of a shoot-em-up.
Personally, I'll play anything I find fun and enjoyable. Who cares what others think of it so long as I'm having fun?
So yeah, ignore your friends and play the games you want to play.

Darkness Rising
Play anything you think is enjoyable. If you find a spark of fun in CoD, you find a roaring wildfire in SK, and a regular ol fire in Touhou games, pick the flame entity that is the strongest. Then when the flame of addiction dies away, move on to another game and enjoy that one until an old spark comes back to one of the games you enjoyed in the past.
